The 2021 Bitcoin supply shortage

Got lucky on the entry here. I'm going away for the rest of the week and won't be able to manage the trade. I put a stop-limit order at breakeven and left the profit side open. Will see where that leaves me next week. I just hope stop-limits work like I'm remembering, with my alzheimer's and all.

Currently basing my exit on a 50% retrace of the ~October rally:

54,555 was filled. Hanging in there for the others. If they click I'll feel like I have a decent handle on the wave pattern, ie the start of my new futures-trading career.

Well that ain't good.

If it rallies to 60K I'll assume I missed the profit target, ie start looking for a different exit.

Bought 10 @ 57555. Leaves me with -20 and looking for an exit. No change of heart, the trade just isn't producing. I'm headed back to "anything can happen."

Buying the rest back at 56555.

This is the pattern that I'm shorting. That big candle is the stabbing sword. The market tends to follow the direction of the stab. Same thing happened in May.

This short is taking a long time. I think the opportunity for a landslide is over. I'm killing my take-profits and putting in a stop at BE. If it goes my way I should wait for the 30's to exit.

The Fed shook me out. Probably for the better, the trade is stale.
