She has been in my house several times. this thread is not about Hilary Clinton but someone mentioned that I was making an assertion that I trade for a living. Suppose you have a system that trades 5 times in 10 weeks. Every trade is a winner that returns something around 5-7R.

Now what do you do to optimize this system? We don't yet have any losing trades to make adjustments to entry/exit.
We could:
- trade with more capital. After all, a Kelly efficiency of 100% would so far, suggest we should be mortgaging the house with every bet. Rationality would stop us from doing that.
- trade more often. Switch to a lower timeframe to attempt to find more trades, absorb more 'surface area' of the price if you understand what I mean? I'm not sure how to define this, but when you trade the same strategy on a lower timeframe you're hoping to avoid periods of lower volatility while retaining edge.
- trade with more risk - hold trades longer to attempt to capture more R.

Or you could do nothing and say, this is the grail. At least a grail contender. Of course if you have the resources you do both - trade the successful system and in another account, trade some hopeful variant. Then when you find something that surpasses the original, you switch and the quest continues.

What else can you do to optimize or 'disqualify' a contender?
