the real inflation in Australia will come when the new minimum wage kicks in and the petrol subsidy ends. RBA knows that so a rate hike in August for a stronger AUD will come.

As for Fed, i am not really sure if they will really hike. The recent good employment data is due to World Cup event and the employment data will drop after the World Cup ends. Oil is priced in USD and the high USD recently have offset and cool the inflation. Only 9 out of 18 fed officials see hike in 2026 and that number may change as we see data in July and August. It is half only and any swing vote may change a hike to a hold. Plus midterm election is coming in November. so i doubt Fed and Walsh will hike in November. Fed and Walsh may hike in December after midterm election.
