    In the 12 months to March 2026: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 4.6%, up from 3.7% in the 12 months to February 2026. • The largest contributors to annual inflation were Housing (+6.5%), Transport (+8.9%) and Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+3.1%). • Trimmed mean inflation was 3.3%, unchanged from 3.3% in the 12 months to February 2026. Y'all stupid af AU not crashing if inflation rose that means the RBA is gonna try to raise interest rates and if that happens AU is gonna continue bullish LOL. Long story short, the overall sentiment of AU long term is bullish.

yup --have to agree-- higher inflation means reserve raise rates to cool it.
Raised rates (Higher return for international investors) means money flows into Australia from overseas., that requires Australian dollars to be bought (Demand) -- hence a rising exchange rate

This is the most likely outcome, but it does depend on how long the war lasts in the Middle East.

Alternative scenario: Supply-side pressure is difficult to control with interest rates (stagflation fears). Global slowdown could reduce commodity demand from China = imports rising and exports falling. Risk-off generally doesn't favour AU.

RBA have a fine line to tread, and many CB's have got it wrong in the past.

I'll be watching China data keenly.
