DislikedI've been tracking FF trade explorer and every trader who was doing extremely well a year ago has been murdered, waxed and killed. Not one has shown longevity.Ignored
DislikedI have seen a few of your posts and can sense your frustration about this market. Do you, after 8 years of following the forex market, make any money?Ignored
DislikedYou are a 10+ voucher Guy with 5 years of "trading experience", so let me ask you this question, have you done a living OFF RETAIL FOREX for the last 5 years, only trading ONLINE RETAIL FOREX ?...Ignored
DislikedExcellent, but the big question is, can you do this for a quarter? And then for a year? and then for 3 years? If the answer is yes, then you are part of the very small percentage that profit in Retail Forex.Ignored
DislikedYes, exactly. "Big picture" "trend" "changing tides" etc are strategic considerations, and the guy I was replying to said that discipline and MM were more important than strategy. EAs conquer MM and discipline by default, but those that fail do so because they're neither strategically intelligent nor adaptable enough. Therefore strategy IS important. That was the point implied in my question. Anyway, 32 trades without a loss is a good start. Well done.Ignored
Disliked95% of traders lose their account in the first year, but I believe after that, in the next couple of year 99% of traders lose their account. Only a tiny fraction will become consistent profitable traders in the long run. Most of the traders lose forever.Ignored
DislikedActually there is no exact number or percentage of the traders who are facing lose but they are in much excess than the winners. The winners are mostly the big traders.Ignored
DislikedTo be honest i'd like to believe the figure was higher, mainly because the same exact stat applies for sports betting too. Only 5% of sports bettors actually turn out on top and make a long term profit, i'd like to believe that with the odds tipped in our favour as traders, that we'd be more successful. I did see a chart from a broker a while back and it showed profit and loss by percentage for clients during 2011. I remember it saying 70% had negative balance by the end of the year, so that means 30% would have made a profit during 2011.Ignored
DislikedAccording to an official study by PhD John Forman based on thousands of LIVE Accounts in RETAIL ONLINE FOREX BROKERS, only 0.4% end profitable after 1 year of trading. Seriously, I wish the numbers were different, and 50% made a profit, that would be great for everyone in this forum, but the Sad Truth is that only 0.4% are profitable after 1 year of trading. So, 99.6% lose money after 1 year of trading. Again, we are talking about FOREX BROKERS. The US Government forced RETAIL FOREX BROKERS to report everything since year 2010, that's why you...Ignored

Dislikedthe true figure is that 98% of traders lose money qtr over qtr all the time. I was taken to lunch by a broker a few years ago and asked the question. they told me 98% lose and the way to know that you were not in that 98% was if brokers took you to lunch to find out how you beat the 'system' That's exactly what they wanted to know - the question was "have you found a way to beat the spread" - they didn't care about the trade because only a very small minority made more than the spread cost them. Their system is the spread - just as in a casino...Ignored
