not to attack, John. i'm just confused.

the .doc file you attached recently applies different rules/thinking than your initial posts. that's why i felt unsure.

for auto trading, you need a complete set of clear-cut rules;

while you seem do manual trading, then a sound and complete mindset(logical decision sequence) is needed, on which we seem get lost in communication.

My trading has evolved since my first post. I do not and never will do auto trading. All the successful traders I have met have some discretionary parts in their trading strategies.

It is in vain, because during trading all traders get the needle, but EA only makes trading. If you have profit strategy, and if you can make Advisers it is the better way for grail founding.

Hi everyone,

this is a great thread, thanks JohnW for all of these. I would say JohnW has been using his sense (that actually everyone has it) in trading. and by the time he found that the sense was worthwhile, he uses it over and over, and the thing is, the more he practices with the sense the more powerful the sense is.

So then, He called it he just found the holy grail....voilaaa

to me holy grail is just a condition where you find yourself in the most comfort feel, the condition where trading is always on your side, means you know how much you loss the money and it's not a problem for you since the profit you make is a lot better. the condition where you just go with the flow nicely. the condition where you realize that you can't predict the future price whether it's going up or down, so you put yourself in the flow and follow it nicely. that's the holy grail.

I, do the same thing as JohnW does. Naked chart, only the candlesticks. how do I predict the trend? how do I make a decision and entering the market?
the answer is just go with the flow...then you dance with the flow....the more you get into the flow, the more you powerful your sense is

I use the time of D1 H4 H1 and 15m to compare and put my entry position in h1. If you ask me whay should I put my entry position in h1? the answer is" I don't know" my sense is just telling it.

SO happy trasing everyone, thanks once again John...this is a very nice thread ever.....I am not alone

Have you thought about putting up your Myfxbook as proof of performance, and go into the trade copier or trade mirror service? Like what TPOTrader is doing at various signal provider services e.g. Currensee.com, FXStat.com, MQL5 Signal, MT4i Trade Mirror, RAPA Cap Into, etc.
No longer trading forex. Looking for full time job.

your method requires pin bars, engulfing etc. but in your first post you said you dont use them as they are not reliable ?

best to give chart examples.

HOD = High of day
LOD = Low of day
WADR = average daily range for last week
MADR = average daily range for last month
TKC = Tkyo channel
I don't use Doji bars. I do use pin bars.

When I get to the point where I would consider selling something, then I could go to myfxbook. I haven't spent the time to figure out how to get into it and post everything. Maybe by summer. What are the benefits of myfxbook beyond the steady income stream I get from just trading? Do any hedge funds or banks look at it for prospective traders?

Linking your MT4 to Myfxbook will allow you to analyze your statistics and trading performance. As an example below, there are several tabs that showed individual trade history, drawdowns, monthly growth, etc. It also has analytics that hedge funds and large investors look for. The site updates the data every 5mins so you don't have to do anything else other than to link it up to your MT4. It can also help others see how the strategy you described work in equity growth.

Thank you for sharing, John. I have been trying to find the holy grail for 8+ years now, and I am growing very weary. . . . I am not giving up. I know there is the light at the end of the tunnel, just like you stated so. I will NOT fail. I will not. Shall never give up. . . . I will become a successful Forex trader. . .
