Gold is now trading around 4016 right on the key 4021-4000 support area. The bearish move is progressing well but this is also an important reaction zone. A clean break below 4000 would strengthen the bearish momentum and could open the way towards 3980-3967 followed by 3933. For now sellers remain in control below 4050-4070 while a strong recovery above 4091-4105 would weaken the bearish outlook. Current market data also shows gold under pressure around the 4000 area.

Good question, but in my view, we have reached a key 4000–4020 zone, so we might see a reversal here. I am wondering whats causing such a sharp drop today

What i have known gold do is taking liquidity and the turn, it has taken last friday low, if that is enough for them, then it will go up from here, or if what they have taken is not enough , then they go down more to take more liquidity, gold seem not to respect support or resistance except it has taken liquidity

I think it's just the gap and big dawgs dumping thinking the gap would've held for longer and we'd be flying. I do think gold's going to go higher over this week but yea, what happens intraday, you can make money selling and buying in this market.
