This is another hindsight view. I didn't take this one but it looks a high provability trade. JMA was contracted and ready to expand. Bullish pinbar candle was about to take out previous bear candles with upper wicks. It looks clearer on 2 min chart. When it breaches the upper wick candle, you may take a quick profit or move SL to BE and see what happens.

{image} Two small trades so far.... Later part of pre-session is rather slow and consolidating Friday today. Just quick in and out. By the way fading the pinbars works nicely usually. I learned it from Senja.

I love your logical thought process although it's easier said than done. I wish I learned this 10 years ago. I wasted 10+ years playing with so many useless indicators.....

I wanted to do some scalping practice using Bitcoin CFD during this weekend but it didn't work out. Weekend market is very choppy, slow and erratic with high spread and slippage. Also broker server is unstable.... Who's gonna trade during weekend? Serious people wouldn't do that. All 4 trades ended up as losers. Unless market cooperates, scalping also doesn't work.

Got up late today and made two quick losses right before. Market is choppy with all the hesitations... no wonder as it's all time high and getting huge focus from the people... Better walk away today.

I will be demo trading gold for next a couple of weeks until I build enough confidence. Yesterday was a terrible day although it was well expected. I need some more practice. I also blew my two eval accounts. They were already deep DD even before I started gold scalping. I wasn't serious enough and made a silly gambling yesterday out of my strategy.
I made quick and small 8 demo tradings during early session. Trading cost (commission + exchange fee, roughly $5 per contract) is not reflected. Also, in real trading, slippage can be wider. I find one minute extreme scalping can be easier when I go deep dive further to micro levels. Seconds based charts can be useful when it comes to gold. Nonetheless, Mr. Market should cooperate.

A Jurik Moving Average (JMA) ribbon + EMA ribbon combination is something a lot of traders experiment with, because it tries to merge two different philosophies:
- Jurik Moving Average (JMA) → Designed to be ultra-smooth with minimal lag. It reacts faster than most smoothing methods without the noise.
- Exponential Moving Average (EMA) → More common, reacts quickly to price, and widely used by institutions and algo models.

I gave up day trading Nat Gas futures and instead I have started Gold futures scalping. Predicting one or two bars in the future is relatively much easier than 10 - 20 bars ahead. Longer you stay in the market, bigger the risk you take. Market is very whimsy and she herself doesn't know where to go. Only temporary momentum can give you a slight more edge. Especially Nat Gas is a quite thin market and manipulations are everywhere. Sometimes it follows trend very nicely, but many times it plants traps on every corner of the road. It's very volatile...

I am trying to mimic Steve's beautiful scalping but I still need MAs. The day will come when I remove all the indicators like Steve and Senja....
Two trades in the morning session mimicking Steve's.... If you are following Steve's thread, you know why I entered. I regret the second one a bit, as it was premature setup when I entered. I should've waited one more cycle.... By the way, this is DEMO account...

It looks polarity is being changed to bullish side until it negates itself. Higher, high stuff... or EMA stuff... I'd like to watch only buy opportunities trying to read PA like Steve.... By the way, yellow line in the picture is 21 EMA.

The 3d entry was even worse. The direction was correct but I entered at way over bought condition...... nearly hitting SL. By the way, this early Asian session was exceptionally trendy and easy. Not everyday likes today. Anyway, this is a demo practice, so do not take it seriously.

Woke up late and just finished reading FF postings from Senja and Steve. Steve made a lot of trades during Asian session. Seems he lost sleep....
My view is gold is still under bullish pressure. For amateurs like me, it's better focus only on buy side trades. Professionals like Steve and Senja can trade on both sides, but it's riskier to amateurs.

4th one ended up BE. I wouldn't try this if I trade with real money. It was over stretched and had higher risk. Ideally, I would like some deep pull-back before I reconsider any buy entry.

I wouldn't take it anyway. It was too risky to me with big SL. Some professionals would have taken it.
This is 30 seconds chart. Looks more clearer with tighter SL. Seconds chart may be helpful to some scalpers....
