like if you see eurusd which is 54% of usd index, it clearly hints at usd strength which translates to gold dipping at some point

when eurusd stops falling n consolidates gold runs up , when eurusd is going up gold goes up at double speed

really bad day actually ........fked up the 3rd trade because of physocolgy

i can still short it it totaly alligns with my view but no volumes now so not getting into it

Ive done a little study with that theory going from a more pure eur and usd index

I placed arrows at swing points in gold and posted the time they happened/color, so gold with lead arrows and then arrows placed in the index at the same time where gold arrows are to find if an index was behind, leading, or was aligned, maybe i can reverse this study and lead with an index at some time later

2025 08 20 4:00 Red arrows
2025 08 08 1:00 White arrows
2025 07 30 22:00 Green arrows

2025 07 17 15:00 Dark blue arrows
2025 07 14 10:00 Aqua arrows

the only place here where all 3 aligned was with the dark blue arrows or close to compared to all the others u can see some index is behind or in front or 2 are in sync and the others off, i thought maybe there is something that drove this triple alignment but couldnt find much

a quick chat to a.i to search for fundamentals around that date

Combined Outlook: Why It All Aligned
From July 17 onward, the trio of shifts you noted came together logically:

  1. A weaker U.S. dollar—driven by policy uncertainty and dovish sentiment—made gold more attractive and simultaneously supported the euro’s advance.
  2. Gold gained due to safe-haven demand amid lingering uncertainty and a cheaper dollar.
  3. The euro rallied, bolstered by ECB stability, stronger regional data/earnings, and broad dollar softness.
  4. The USD index fell, reflecting systemic erosion of confidence in U.S. monetary policy and ongoing macroeconomic headwinds.

Theres a drop currently in exy but given the data i just tested which isnt much, from this i would say the synchronization is likely with euro and gold being a less heavy news driven week if this theory is true and dxy is slightly rallying as well, technicals should be stronger, there could be out of the blue shock news still, i am not trading this

I got an idea theres something else thats heavy in gold not sure what will study it some time

Good Morning Everybody,

There were no trades executed yesterday, but three were smashed early morning in the last couple of hours...
All three hit SL of some kinds... first one was -2.0 (full SL, as it was covering 2 bounce points), one was -0.5 (bounced and went on our side, but took the SL just before doing that) and the last was -1.0, just fluctuated a bit. I am putting these trades under yesterday's date/row only (technically they got executed today, but were set yday)

Tally so far:

Today I am trading 4 bounce points, 3 on the long side and 1 on the short:

Short Side : 3388.85
Long Side : 3365.97, 3358.75, 3348.41

All have default 1.5 points SL to start with to be tightened as soon as it can be :-)

The chart (4hr) with these levels... attached

[The last bounce point which just bounced a couple of hours back is in grey dotted line... This was a good trade, but we just missed (SL closed too soon) by a few decimal points.]

Can you post the trade which you take on all that analysis, whenever you do ? We are only interested in when you enter a trade (and when you exit on that entry).

Do you think, these correlations are predictive in any way ? If so, what could be the best probability prediction you would do ?

gold is XAU USD
USD Index used
eurusd is 54% of USD index

so the correlation is 54% not EXACT
