I purchased a Daytraders.com account instead of Topstep's. It charges one time fee of $57 (%70 discounted using a promo code) with additional activation fee of $130 once passing the eval. Daytraders.com is a new kid on the block which was founded by former partners and employees of Apex. Although they limit the max payout to $75,000 per user at the moment, it's dirt cheap anyway (perhaps the cheapest in this industry) and no 10% profit share. Good for beginners like me. It's first day of trading using daytraders.com and its server is down (actually it's a Rithmic issue). I have a position stuck in the middle... Not very good start.

From early pre-market session today, nat gas has a big bid/ask volume imbalance. Actually, we had relatively quite bigger bidders for days.... Interesting.

I finally said goodbye to Metatrader platforms. Charting is fully replaced by Quantower. CFD charting in MT4/5 is not accurate. Glad I finally ditched this a million years old platform.

First day I lost $600 and then I make $100 each day. It will take a million years before I pass the eval. Fortunately, daytraders.com charges one time fee. That's great for slow easy going traders like me.

I made the following trade right before. It's early pre-market session and it started gathering some volatility. Anyway, quick scalping using VWAP and 50 EMAs.

First day big loss was silly one. I was testing DOM imbalance. My founding is DOM imbalance doesn't tell you the price direction. It may work as a choppy condition filter but still not sure about that. Scalping around VWAP is easier. Rediscovering the value of VWAP......

Patick doesn't do well with Live funded accounts for some reason.... He's most happy when he trades using SIM accounts. Also he makes most from Apex especially. When regulation comes in finally, we would be mostly pushed into live accounts and the max number of account will be very limited. CME group is also watching closely a free ride of prop firms. The climate will be changed dramatically sooner or later.

Unlike AMP Futures' free version of Quantower, Daytraders' version allows connections from other brokers and copy trading between multiple Rithmic logins. That means you have a complete All-In-One license for free which otherwise costs you $1590 for life time. (If you only want copy trading feature, you may purchase Advanced feature license which is still $650 for life time. As far as I know, only Quantower supports multiple Rithmic logins at time time.)
As Daytraders frequently provides 70% discount, in theory, you can use full version of Quantower for as low as one time fee of $33 (25K account) unless you blow your account. That's quite a super cost effective deal especially when you want to copy trade between multiple prop firms.

I have purchased 4 more eval accounts at 80% discounted price. 5 is max. When I made the purchase I made a mistake and selected a wrong platform. As a result, I requested to cancel my purchase and had to do it again. Fortunately, they agreed to cancel my previous purchase. Their system is not very intuitive and they have too many account types... Anyway, it will be more exciting. I will be using Quantower's trade copier from now on.

VWAP scalping looks the easiest. I missed this opportunity. The problem is such a good easy opportunity often comes 2-4 hours before the regular market open. Sometimes I miss it as a result. I think I wouldn't have a better opportunity today anymore. When price moves far away from VWAP, price movement stability and momentum decrease and as a result, the overall risk increases significantly.

Winter is already over in the futures market. Do not chases the market. That's the best way to blow your account especially in nat gas trading.

First copy trading using Quantower. Another quick VWAP scalping with about 10 ticks. Made it quick due to 200 and 50 EMAs on 5M and 15M charts, which are major resistances. I had no trading for last two days due to high volatility.

Daytraders.com is very similar to Apex. This is no wonder because they are former co-founder and employees of Apex. Behavioral pattern (such as 80% discount joke) is also similar. Daytraders and Apex have a legal battle now for the ownership of the operating software. At this time, Daytraders system has some flaws or bugs here and there and their documentation is relatively weak. For example, I have 4 canceled accounts but they are still in my account list.

Damn... I was caught by two consecutive choppy days and had to suffer another set back. DOM imbalance as a choppy indicator didn't work as I expected. Nothing worse than choppy conditions to breakout day traders....
