ETH Turns 10 A Decade of Growth and a Sweet Surprise

Ethereum just hit its 10-year anniversary a full decade since it launched the idea of programmable money. From under $1 to becoming the backbone of DeFi, NFTs, and countless experiments, it’s been a wild journey.

Anniversaries always spark reflections, but they also bring interesting community initiatives. One I came across is Bitget’s CandyBomb, where 60 ETH is being given out to traders as part of the celebrations. It’s a small detail in the bigger picture, but it shows how exchanges are leaning into milestones to keep people engaged.

Looking ahead, the question is: what does the next decade of Ethereum look like? Scaling breakthroughs? Mainstream adoption? Or something we haven’t imagined yet?

I know not what the next decade will bring; however, remember: nothing lasts forever (if it cannot change).

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the creator of the thread: he obviously knows (unlike most people) that it's Ether (that you trade) and not Ethereum. I am so annoyed by people who always talk about Ethereum (even professionals, platforms). Really? Are they really talking about the underlying blockchain? How sophisticated! LOL I wonder what do they have to do with it? It's Ether that you trade, ETH stands for Ether the "coin"; nobody trades the blockchain. Ether, you know? Ether! Here is the first sentence in wikipedia on "Ethereum": "Ethereum is a decentralized blockchain with smart contract functionality. Ether is the native cryptocurrency of the platform."

Web3 will be the new infastructure but crypto bros will be surprised that their favorite token has no role whatsoever.
