It is too early to say about Crypto would fail. There are many arguments that it would till succeed but i understand there are many fake/not useful currencies in the mix today. Once the cloud clears (after 90% of them would die), the real value and usage of crypto would appear.

I still believe in ethereum and waves , the two most trusted platform launching the decentralized use cases.

I believe the valid crypto uptrend was stopped by the creation of short price possibilities.
The price topped the exact days it was introduced.

You mean December 2017?? Futures!?

I think it was over pump and 4 year cycle end.

Don't forget Futures are bought by losers only. Why would an INVESTOR buy futures trash?

Interesting that Crypto-currency supporters would mention hyper-inflation in their support of the block chain technology. Another comparison frequently mentioned is gold (see Not-KPMG's post above). These two comparisons pretty much define the reason for trying to create a currency that has a stable value. Block chain is an interesting concept and a very clever one, designed to track and limit currency value and use. Am I wrong here? That was the whole point wasn't it? Instead what has happened is to produce a thousand crypto-currencies which have...

Not kmpg, every post where you haven't got anything special to say you mention quantitative easing.

Still playing the hyper inflation card eh? You can criticise the dollar as much as you want, people use it - all over the world. Crypto does seem to have a purpose, though - speculation. That seems to be the only purpose. Please let me know if there is anything else like, maybe, one crook can pay another crook and not be traced. I mean, is that another purpose?

It seems like cryptos are here to stay. After El Salvador, Panama also announced they will also legalize the free use of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The major difference between the Panamian and the El Salvadorian law will be, however, that businesses will not be obligated to use them, since they are obligated to do so in El Salvador.
