On average maybe a couple % up or down. I am right about 3 out of 4 trades. But sometimes I am just early by a day or two, so it takes a few more trades.

My weekly return depends on how much trading performance I am doing. But I always have a goal that I always try to meet. And even if the target is never met, I maintain a positive mindset.

Good mindset. Don’t rush to achieve the target. Otherwise you might overtrade.

how much you can return in a week it depends on your money management when you have the most powerful analyzing money and risk management of course smart amount of profit will bring with certainly.

Every week I aim for a 2,5% but even if I can’t reach it it’s ok, the 2,5 is only a number that I not always I take it into consideration, as long as there is consistency, I put it in bold because I think it’s the target that every trader should reach if they want do trading for living.

Forex is very risky and it needs a lot of money to invest. You can gain good profit and you can also lose very much on the other time. But you can minimize your risk of losing money with good strategy and moneymanagement.

I average about 1-10x my defined risk every month, so if you take the average of that which is about 5R, (R = Units of defined risk) that would be around 1.25R a week. Trading is really up and down some weeks you are up and some down, and then you might have a a really good week that makes up for the entire month. Focus on controlling your risk and keeping it simple you should be able to survive in the long run.

Simple math: Lets presume you have a $1000 account and leverage of 50:1 and you, for whatever reason trade euro/usd only. Given your account size and leverage constraints that gives you the ability to trade about 35000 units (Oanda) with a pip value of $3.50 per pip. If you can net 7 pips per day that nets you $24.50 per day or $122.50 per week .Compounding your weekly return of 12.25% for a year nets you over $400,000 annually. Not billionaire status by a long shot but nevertheless a fairly comfortable lifestyle, and forgive me for being presumptuous, probably better than your doing now. Now there are some assumptions made in this example that are questionable. The example presumes that you can trade full time 5 days per week, that you are not risk averse and will invest your whole bankroll on every trade and that even though your algorithm or system is technically perfect you can overcome the secular (non-technical) events that forex trading is vulnerable to.(ie. geopolitical events, surprise actions by any major central bank, unusual or surprise economic reports that upset market equilibrium) and finally but perhaps most importantly your personal dedication to a job that is often frustrating ,and even boring because of its insular nature. My aim is too achieve 5% per week, but this is hit and miss, some weeks are better than others.

Last week I did 5%, now there is a lot of analysis of the success of trades.

I aim to make around 10-15% each week, obviously sometimes I don't reach that and other times you can have a great week and exceed it. As long as you follow good risk management and learn from any mistakes you should be able to consistently make a good return on your account.

How often do you trade per week?

Totally agree: if most high-profile trading institutions are happy with a 20-25% annual return, that translates into ~2% monthly return on average. Although it needs to be caveated that this average return is really made up of months when equity could travel up and down 5% or even 10%, depending on market volatility. I think it's best not to set strict monthly goals but look at the annual rate of return instead: sometimes the market just doesn't give any good opportunities for days and weeks, and pursuing subpar ones can turn out costly.
