Do you use all these time frames to look for signals to trade? If yes, do you have any trouble multitasking like that? That is quite a lot of time frames.

hahha check my post. I edited now and rephrased. Mostly traders check 4 hour for confirmation,,1 hour for setup and 15 minutes tf for entry as it is .I exit on 1 hour tf on wavealert.

So if I understand properly,

to make a right call I need to analyze a a chart exemple: 4hr chart

need to analyze the 4hr chart and the daily chart, to perform the right entry point I need to go 1chart lower so 1hr chart.

thats how I understand the whole thread.

For scalping trading I use low time frames like M30, H1! But for swing trading, I use higher time frames like H4, H8 and Daily time frames! I think, traders need to use several time frames based on their trading style.

Which trading platforms have H8? I have mostly used only MT4, which just has H4 and D1 time frames and no in between.

I am also curious to know more about H8! No idea about this time frame since I’m also using the Mt4.

indeed, MT5 have the option for 8 hour chart but your broker have to support it in order to work.

Good Morning All.

Please accept my apologices for possibly posting in the wrong spot. But Did not see where to create a new post.

My question is, I am looking for 30-40 pips within 0-18 hours on the 1 hour chart. Is this the correct time frame to be looking at or would it be better to be on the 30 minute or 15 minute charts?

The "start new thread" button is located at the upper right corner of the page. If it's not visible to you yet it's probably because you're a still a newbie. It should become visible after you make a few meaningful posts, I think.

For scalping; I am using mainly M15. Even, sometimes I need to open my trades against the higher time frames like H1, H4.

I always use Big Timeframe for my trading work. Because that way you can find more accurate trade entry and exit.

Hi, it should be support and resistance levels, a range is about 20-30 pip or 50-70 pip by different currency pairs, not only a horizonal line.

Sometimes I use D1 if H4 isn't clearly. When you had a good entry, maybe you want to add more positions then you looking at M15
