I think, it’s a human nature! And being emotionless is not possible! But, it’s possible to check emotion during trading session! And that is what I am exactly doing in my live trading.

Stay long enough in the markets, lose a few accounts spend many many sleepless night and one day you will wake up emotionless to the markets. It is as simple as that.

It is not possible to be emotionless unless you have a diagnosed disease, or are under the influence of some type of drug. The fight/flight response appears because it is natural. Just tell yourself, Thank You for working, but I do not need you on this.

You might also lower your fight/flight response by having a trading system that provides you confident entries and exits. If think your trading feels more like gambling, you need to make adjustments because you will use more emotion than logic. If you are trading according to defined rules, and they make profit, then you are triggering logic, rather than emotions, so you can properly apply your process. Just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. The more structure one's strategy provides, the easier it is to learn to ignore and/or repress one's natural anxieties while trading. Trading isn't random, and the more you treat it as random the more you will fear the random outcome.

Emotions are not bad in trading. Only when you act them out. The way to do this, is to accept the emotions arise.
Being mindful and meditate is the the opposite of being "emotionless" there is no such thing btw. Allowing the emotions without judgement and meet yourself with kindness is a great way of not acting them out.

When making a decision, buy, sell, take profit, playing football, planning your next trip or should I take the bus today? these choices are made from emotions.

Even if you have an EA running in the background, it's still part of your emotional choice of switching it on or off.
By acknowledging that you WILL feel uncomfortable when dealing with risk in an uncertain environment, you can perhaps start looking at the benefits and create a profitable system based on your emotions.

Nice post. But playing football , planning next trip and others is no appropriate to compare about trading , no way to deny that’s we cannot avoid emotions in every making decisions but we have to focus how to control emotions , because it destroys proper planning , without controlling emotions Forex trading can make a imaginable losses and in your personal life you can fall a love with an immature girl if you don’t know how to control emotions.

The problem is, how do you know when you've acted out on emotion when your judgement is already clouded by said emotion? It's a bit of a hen and egg situation.

That comes down to finding out your true intentions. Easier said than done :-)
I find focusing on my intentions instead of long term. (i do have some long term goals based on my intentions with trading)

If you in a calm state of mind write down your trading plan position sizing, and you don't follow it, it's because you are acting out some emotions. In order to not act on those emotions in the future, you need to welcome the emotions and see them as it is, instead of denying them. You might never actually "solve" the emotion, but you have a better chance of not acting them out later on.

Mindfulness is a tool, but writing a journal of your trades is also very helpful. If you are not following your trading plan it should be fairly easy to see where you made the mistakes.

Things goes up, comes down. In forex we need to understand time decay tolerance . If anyone understand it well , will be emotion free. You need to understand cooking needs time as trading too.

Emotions cannot be eradicated totally in the Forex Trading, but you need to stay calm in the Forex Trading, if you wanna make some good bucks online.

The only thing which can help setting our emotions out while trading is going through educating ourselves how these emotions takes control of our mind when trading however we can overcome those by writing a proper trade management plan too and sticking to it whatever the outcome may be.

The problem is that we are not machines, its really hard to leave your emotions aside.. most of my losses came from closing a position to early after being scared of loosing more money.

you can try looking for a good algo program, thats the easiest way to eliminate the emotions factor.

emotions are just fine !
markets are a replica of mass-psycology ... so the emotions help you put yourself into the shoes of others.

what you need to terminate is ego, greed, and fear (okay that's emotions as well)

What I actually do is replace it with something that drains my adrenaline when I place a trade and feel the emotions coming in. I go play a game, go exercise or do anything that takes my mind off it.

One of the most effective ways is actually to place a trade before you sleep, and when you sleep, you're not able to meddle with the trade and hence your emotions are kept in check

That only works if you are able to sleep while having an open position. I, for example, can't do that. I stay wide awake watching over the position and that rarely leads to anything good, because I lose sleep, when I lose sleep my judgement isn't as sound and that in turn leads to mistakes and more anxiety.
