Hi all
I have been reading Forex Factory Forums for some time and have learnt quite a lot. To all those who have posted here I thank you.
After much, much, much reading and experimenting I now have a system that I am trading with some success.
No one else I know is interested in trading and the biggest challenge I have found is the loneliness aspect of trading. That was until I found someone else who like’s trading on one of these Forums.
He lives in Estonia (which is in Europe near Finland) and I live in Australia. He and I chat to each other on MSN during trading hours as we are trading, and I have found it makes a great deal of difference.
We both use the same platform, which is MetaTrader. From time to time we send each other screen shots, chat about our trades, send each other new information about trading we find etc, etc. We have helped each other with things from the basics of how to use Meta Trader to discussion on different risk to reward ratios and Money management.
We have very different trading styles, he trades one pair (Cable) scalping a few pips here and there all day during market hours, and I trade a system, using it on 10 different pairs,
GBP/JPY AUD/ JPY GBP/CHF NZD/CHF GBP/USD USD/SGD EUR/SGD EUR/NZD NZD/CAD USD/CAD
I look for a particular set up, which might only come once a week or even less often on a given pair and when I get that set up I go after fifty to a couple of hundred pips over a day or so.
I am convinced that once you have a proven system that works, 80% of trading success is psychological, and so if you can relate to the loneliness aspect and would like someone to chat with about trading while you are trading, and have MSN then add me to your contact list . It doesn’t matter whether you are a complete novice, intermediate or experienced, I ‘m sure we can offer each other encouragement, tips and ideas.
