BEST still with the on going script i need a change of alert for this file the whole action is inside and working the way it should point is, default setting of the alert is for weekly, changing it to DAILY alert is desired if it can be done, the horizontal line is cut to fit the weekly open candle, it will be too much work in cutting to fit the daily candle so kindly help in changing the alert statement only to work with the daily candle. THANKS

1. using an EMA of 110 (colour should be golden)
2. find candlesticks above EMA that forms 3 white soldiers (3 consecutive bullish candlesticks) after a bearish candle.
3. alert when the 3rd candlestick is formed.
4. timeframe is H1 and H4
5. per number 2, when 3 black crows form below the 110 ema the 3rd candlestick should produce an alert
6. i need an EA for mt5 ex5 file that can produce an alert for the above-mentioned timeframe for XAUUSD AND BTCUSD.

Can someone fix the indicator? A version of ZigZag where the step size for changing the segment's direction is specified in price points. The indicator doesn't skip some extremes.

A question for the cracks ( BestTraderEv; jeanlouie ect )

is there a limit in MT4 to handle graphical objects over all open charts or MT4 have his own memory limits?
I use a graphical TradeManger there use a lot resources.

So should it be ( clean chart )

Yes, though I wouldn't call it a limit, it's more of a progressive load.

If you had 1 indicator that only made random objects, and then did nothing with them, there is a point in object count where you will start noticing lag, say 10k-20k, and the more objects there are the more the lag increases. For indicators that make a lot of objects, the solutions generally are to use less history in the indicator if possible or reduce chart history. Depending on how an indicator is written, it may not make many objects, but if on a high object count chart, may have noticeable lag or other issues, as you have noticed.

Without changing anything else in your setup, I'd suspect reducing chart history would have a noticeable improvement. From the terminal, tools - options - charts tab - max bars in chart - set to something much lower than it currently is.

There may also be other issues.
For example, if for any reason an indicator is saved in a template, but it got removed from the Indicators folder, the platform will still attempt to execute this indicator, and it can't find it, and that will cause issues like inactive icons, and this can also cause the platform to slow down. (ask me how I know...)
Still another possibility is how the individual indicator is coded, especially the OnDeinit() part.
Anyways, MT4 is single thread, so it doesn't matter how many cores in your CPU, it always uses only one.
So, there are many potential bottlenecks...

PS, also with an EA or Indicator like the one in your image, it has to be updated on every tick.
If the coder is deleting all of the objects on every tick (or sometimes all objects on the chart by ObjectsDeleteAll()), then this will be very heavy for any personal computer.
And, from what we can see, some coders just do ObjectsDeleteAll() without thinking that they are actually deleting all objects from the chart...

Oh, and BTW, AI regularly does this - deletes the objects on every tick and recreates them.
The coder needs to tell the AI that it's wrong, and the AI will still do it wrong.

The Step Points in ZigZag is for a minimum step, not maximum step.
So, there is nothing to fix.
You are probably looking for a different indicator, not ZigZag.
Also, I don't see how it would be useful to limit the ZigZag by a maximum Step Points???
All you need to do is input a smaller number of Step Points.

Got an EA on demo it kills the chart, but live it crashes hard. I NEED HALP!!!1
On demo started with 1,600 USD and 0.03 lots, in 2 days it made 100k.
It’s made so that as the balance grows, the lot size increases.
On live, when I tried with 2,700 USD and 0.01, it felt like the broker was hunting my stop loss, right after my bot opened orders.
I NEED HALP!
I was thinking of hiding my SL and TP so they can’t see my position.
Running on VPS rated for 1ms.

Then I ran the demo and live accounts simultaneously on demo it keeps making profit, but on live it loses…
It seems like they’re hunting it.
I’m out of options.

Your broker is some kind of charity giving out money???
BTW, you need to see/show your actual demo trades and real trades to compare them, see what's actually happening.
You gave us zero information.

Also, no, hiding stoplosses won't help!
The broker isn't hunting your stoplosses.
The broker has, really, no idea that you even exist.
The algorithm is "hunting" general levels where people usually put their stoplosses.

Wow, it would've been better if you said nothing at all. I opened both at the same time and ran them side by side one made a profit, the other hit the stop loss. What do you think that means? I only mentioned it to see if anyone else experienced the same thing that on live it's the exact opposite of demo. And you told me as if I don’t know it’s an algorithm hunting stop losses. Nonsense

Seriously.. 100k from 1,600 in 2 days. MASSIVE alarm bells right there..
How many trades did it make in two days to achieve that?
Bet it scalps 1-2 pips with NO consideration for spread in real life.

Hi ,
I have developed a automated strategy using lua (a scripting language) on the fxcm platform. Below are the points
Have back tested successfully with 80% positive trades on GDP/USD, EUR/USD USD/JPY and FRA40.Its based on a support/resistance Below is the logic.
1. Find the highest /lowest bar for the (N) number of bars. N varies based on currency.
2. On the 15 min chart, if the lates bar closes above/below the highest/lowest of N
3. If the last 2 15 min bars close above /below EMA . EMA varies for currency.
4. Stop loss is defined as the highest or lowest bar from step 1.
5. The trade closes in profit if the same high/low logic is applied when the trade is in profit.
6 The trade breaks even when 20 pips ahead.


I am happy to share the script with anyone willing to try it out. Below is a screen shot of last week.
The reason i am sharing is so i can get other ideas to improve the code

It means nothing untill you show all the details of both trades, including spreads, stoplevels, freezeleves, commissions, leverage, position sizes, and slippage.
And also quotations from both charts, demo and real.
If you can't show any of that, you know nothing, and we know nothing.
Or, maybe you don't even know what I'm talking about???

Also, the demo quotations are not an ideal representation of realtime quotations or market conditions...
Nobody ever told you that?
Or maybe you never read your agreement with your broker???

This is very easy to code, and an AI can code it for you.
However, backtesting results mean nothing and are not representative of realtime market conditions.
