Overview
The ACD trading strategy is a recognized breakout approach that excels in volatile market conditions. When combined with Killzones, it delivers superior results.
This strategy can be effectively applied during the following sessions:
- Asia Killzone: 23:00 to 03:55 UTC
- London Killzone: 07:00 to 09:55 UTC
- New York Morning Killzone: 14:30 to 16:55 UTC
Bullish Setup Signal Conditions
For example, on a 5-minute Gold (XAUUSD) price chart, a breakout above the A up line during the Asia Killzone generates a bullish signal. After a confirmation period of 7 minutes, traders may enter a buy position.
Stop-Loss and Take-Profit for Buy Trades:
- Stop-loss is placed below the A down line.
- Take-profit is set using a Reward to Risk ratio of 1.
Bearish Setup Signal Conditions
As illustrated in the 5-minute West Texas Intermediate (WTI) price chart, a breakout below the A down line during the London Killzone generates a bearish trend signal. A 7-minute confirmation below this line permits the entry of a sell trade.
Stop-Loss and Take-Profit for Sell Trades:
- Stop-loss is positioned above the A up line.
- Take-profit follows a Reward to Risk ratio of 1.
