I’ve been coding for 15 years, recently focusing on developing and experimenting with Expert Advisors (EAs). As part of my learning and growth, I’d like to offer my coding services free of charge to anyone with a winning trading strategy they’d like to see turned into an EA.
If you have a strategy that’s working well and would like it automated, feel free to share it here, or if you’d prefer to keep it private, you can send me a DM. I’m doing this purely to improve my skills and gain further insights into what makes a strategy profitable.

Hi acacialuc, I have an ea that is working very well for me. There is no timer in the EA so I have to manually control the times it trades. Would you be able to code a timer for the EA. It should have a StartTime and an EndTime coded into it. For EndTime the following should happen. When the EndTime is reached there will be open orders. The EA must keep trading until a profit is made and then close all orders and not trade again until the StartTime is reached. Thank you for your offer of coding.

I've been retired since August. I have been trading forex for 15 years and I have survived this hecatomb where every tree is a sword every stone is a bomb. I have created a system or a precise way of working, living and surviving with profit. I don't have the education of a trader and I collected everything from the net myself, as 80% is from the forex factory, and that's why I plan to leave it here. I didn't invent anything, I just collected and arranged the puzzle of this work in my own way. And if you make EA from what I show, it will be a complete product for everyone who wants to earn from forex. Well, for that, thank you.
To begin with, I would like to answer your question about what makes a strategy profitable - first the result and second the discipline. The result is clear, discipline is more important. Every system is a set of rules that we ourselves create but do not follow. The reasons are both objective - feelings, knowledge, assumptions, nerves, etc. as well as subjective - brokerage numbers, power supply, internet, the equipment we work with and others.
Over the years, I have looked at all kinds of situations, but I don't want to bore you and I will end with my opinion that forex is like driving - the less we are on the road, the less the probability of an accident.
So..... I hope that I have laid the foundation for a good future cooperation, the result of which will be the satisfaction of all colleagues and brokers. Now I will describe my humble system and show it to you. See you soon.

I fully agree with your perspective on discipline. Discipline is what sustains success in the long run, especially in forex trading. It’s the key that ensures the rules we set are actually followed, even when emotions and external factors come into play.

in my way of working I use a single indicator TMS osc Histo created in 2011. It is a histo expression of the TDI Indicator. I use it in green and red colors for better visualization and definiteness of the signal with setting RSI signal period = 1. It works on all time frames and I work on H1. The decision to enter is when opening a new candle based on the result of the previous one confirmed by the indicator. I chose this indicator because it is visually better and for my colleagues or novice traders. And basically the TDI indicator should be used with the same setting. For this, there is a robot built by the same author, the inputs are accurate and the output is with profit or closing in case of a reverse signal. My humble contribution is an additional input Fibonacci size filter. And at the exit - a supporting operation or when things turn martingale exit.
Before I go on, I want to apologize to everyone for my googled English and for not being good in my way of expressing and explaining facts, but instead I am open to criticism and questions.
And so I will save a lot by simulating my trading visually with the robot TDI Cross EA and the indicator that TDI-RT-Clone works with, which I will apply later if they can complement my way of working, if not or it is easier to make a new robot.
So to begin with I will start with the improvement of the existing robot. and respectively:
1. Working hours - from 00 - 18, this is the time during which I make entries. The robot has a clock that works.
2. I make entries only when the TDI indicator crosses
3. I only work on the H1 time frame
4. The system works on all tools without exception. And since every broker offers 999 games (the tool), it is good to choose ones with better volatility. For example, between platinum, silver and gold, gold is best. Between majors and majors, major doubles are better, etc.
5. The size of the incoming lot - 3% risk divided by the number of instruments that will be worked with for the day. I work on max 3 tools because it doesn't wash and it is possible to serve them all if there is a need for some action. If the robot is made then I will give all the working techniques and settings of at least 25 tools. Additionally, I will dedicate a whole topic to the MM of the system.
6. TakeProfit - in pips. I'm used to working in pips as the size for different tools is different
7. StopLoss - here the size of the stoploss is 25% of the capital of the account. This is a stopLoss total because history remembers bad moments. This size is for the day. This is the place to note that I don't have a night job. Everything ends during the day, and if not at a maximum of 18-20 hours, I close regardless of the result.

8. ENTRY - conditions
a/ TDI cross or one green candle on the histogram. I repeat when closing a green candle and when opening the next candle, buy and vice versa. Not on the second, third or next candle, but on the second. I'm talking about a histogram, which can confuse you, but with it, it is most clear and definitive whether there is a TDI cross or not, because with the TDI itself, sometimes it is not clear whether there is a cross or not, and this is a waste of time to enter.
b/ if the signal candle is larger than approximately 100 pips, I do not enter when the next candle opens, but place a pending order at 61.8% fibo of the entire height of the candle for a better entry. If correct there is an input if not I just miss the input. It is good to have a fibo percentage setting because the corrections are different for all instruments.
c/ Supporting entry - this is a second or third entry with the same lot as the last operation of the next candle in the same direction after the main signal, when the price is at a lower level than the main entry and there is no reverse signal. In practice, there can be up to two supporting operations on the main input with a total output equal to the set profit.
Explanations of picture 1 - In picture 1 I give an example of an entry on a candle greater than 100 pips where the entry should be at 61.8% of the fibonacci of the signal candle. Having done so, it is clear that we are in a better entry position. Even if the price reverses and follows a reverse signal, our loss will be smaller.
Explanations of picture 2 - Support entry - after the standard entry, the price reverses and the candle closes at a price above the price of the first entry and there is no reverse entry on the TDI or green candle on the histo. It is there at the opening of the next candle that the support operation is entered. Output is common with profit equal to TP by setting. Backing operations are max 2 followed by either output or return input.

Hello again with another sequel. Before I explain about Exodus I want to continue with
Number of operations - these are the inputs that the robot must make in the working time set by the clock if there are signals. I personally make no more than two entries per instrument for the day. There are days and with one entry - this is H1 time frame. This also determines the small risk of constant operation of a given tool. It is very important that the operation counter differentiates basic input and internal operations to the output. In the photo/sample 3/ it can be seen that there are 5 main inputs and the operations are 7 because two of the inputs have two internal operations. It is not clear how this would be achieved, but it is of great importance for the operation of the robot.
EXIT. basically the outputs in a system are profit or loss. I explained about TP and Stoploss in the previous post. Now I will focus on my supplement in between. And this is the generally accepted and hatefully dangerous Martingale. With this outcome, I use a Dalembert progression in determining the lot size for each subsequent operation until a positive outcome. The size of the lot for each subsequent operation is in the progression 1,2,3,4....or the initial lot by the consecutive number of operation. or how to do it. Example with photo peak 3 from 17.10.2024 Gold. We see that we have 7 (4x50=200 - 70-25-65= +40) main inputs in standard robot implementation. with a result of +40 pips. And in my way of working, the main inputs are 4. We have reversing operations and supporting operations which I explained above. What is reversal surgery. This is a situation of an input that closes on a reverse signal. Or we have an entry closed at a minus and the next one is made with a double lot because it is the second operation and comes out with a total profit +50/ the loss from the previous operation + TP / 2 - where 2 is the number of operations in the group.

And so the next entrance when turning after the second one will be with a lot of 3, the next one with a lot of 4, and so on.
In the example shown in the picture, we also have supporting operations that have a lot equal to the input they support.
The profit of such a group of operations is equal to the sum of the pips lost from each operation + TP which is set/for example 50 for Gold/. Like if we have from the first input -34 from the second -16 and we need to calculate the profit of the third input
TP = 1x30 + 2x16 +50=112 / 3(number of operations) = 38 letters
Where 38< 50 means TP will be = 50. I always do this because I expect from each input 50 pips of TP
The size of the lots in the above photo is:
Input 1 = 1 (initial lot)
Input 2 = operation 1 = 1
= operation 2 = 1 because it is supportive
= operation 3 = 3 first reversing and third in a row
= operation 4 = 4 second inverting
= operation 5 = 4 because it is supportive
And the profit of this group is calculated like this
70х1+45х1 + 25х2 + 50 = 215 / 5 = 55 pips ( 55>TP50, TP=55)
Do not look for accuracy in the calculation because I have rounded. My goal is to understand my calculation technique.
Next is Entry 3. It is unbacked with only one reversal which means lot 1 and lot 2 for the second operation. TP will be equal to TP= 64x1 + 50 = 114 / 2 = 57 and TP=57 pips.
I think the fourth entry4 is beyond comment and contributes +50 pips making the total for the day 205 pips in favor of my modest allowance.
I said I don't do more than two entrances per pair not because I don't have them or don't want them but because it's physically impossible for me 5/18
to stay on the chart. If you work on the system, I do not advise you to do so. Fatigue leads to mistakes, and with us, mistakes are very expensive and quick. That's basically it. I can talk a lot about the technique of work, but if it turns out to be a robot, then I will emphasize the preparation for working with robots. It is clear to you that they are allowed but not wanted. I also pay attention if there is an opportunity to take an operation 2-3 seconds before the end of the signal candle it will be wonderful to do. I'll explain why another time.

Thank you again for sharing your system with me and for the detailed breakdown of how it works. I’m happy to let you know that I’ve completed the EA based on your strategy, including the conditions you outlined with the TDI indicator, the working hours, the Fibonacci filter, and the handling of multiple instruments.
In addition to the EA, I made a few changes to the TMS osc Histo indicator to ensure it sends signals to the EA effectively. Specifically, I optimized the way it communicates the cross events to trigger entries, ensuring the EA acts in real-time without any delay.
I’ve tested the system on the EUR/USD pair, using H1 data from 2022 to 2024, and for some reason, it has not executed any long positions. I will look into it again and keep you updated.

I dare not interfere, but I suggest that you first see the main settings of the tester - they should be long and short. If not, then there is an error in the robot part of the input bay - 1. With the signal it receives from the indicator and 2. The size of the high-low or low-high candle. The wording for buy should be the opposite of sell. These are just guesses of possible mistakes and I'm sure it's a very small and dumb mistake. I'm dare say a very good tester but I can't write code. Rest, drink a coffee and everything will fall into place. Hasty work is a shame to the craftsman. Cheers

if I can suggest we test just one date, I'll do it manually and you'll see what the robot does. This makes it very easy to find mistakes or misunderstood things. In this way of working, the test is reduced to even one operation at a certain time. Long-term tests are not real and are for the time when the robot is ready. Thanks for the response!
I don't use AI to code my EAs. The issue was in the code; for some reason, the EA wasn't properly interpreting the sell signal. After going through it, I managed to fix that bug.
I totally agree on historical data and backtesting.
