Hello Leo, here are some questions regarding your post #3. I have uploaded your chart below for easy reference. I am of the impression that both the patterns you identified are not entirely valid. For an ideal bearish engulfing pattern, the green ...
- Stock daily = Forex 5 min ?
When I read trading literature that talks about stocks, I had always thought the daily charts ...

And now the trade seems to have turned bad. If price continues to slide, then it will have been a failed signal. To think it looks so good...

Exit rules? Where? What? Anyway here's the updated chart and it's still a 50-50 to me. One of the biggest problems I encounter is placing stops. This is a daily so having a decent R:R would be hard. If I were to enter in this trade, the stop would ...

So Nick, are you actively trading TD? It's a pity we do not have a TD niche forum/thread here (or is there?). Some profitable traders like Merlin mentioned that he has been using TD's techniques for years (though I do not know which one(s) he is ...

I am currently experimenting with TD lines too (I like it over Mouteki which I feel is a subset). A sad thing though that on 4h TF (unless moves are big, any lower seems too unreliable), even when using just lvl 1 TD points as preferred by TD ...

And what a horror.

Based on your chart, you are right that you have a long signal. I would be careful there though since the line looks steep. Anyway, you might have a newer supply line now, with yet another long signal.

Different charts... PS.: I think you will get a better response if you post this in the main cable thread. Many people (me included) subscribe to the threads so they will check when new messages arrive. Some people tend to look at new threads last.

Looks broken?

Ok, fair enough. Your first question: "Supply/Demand line; how do you know which one to pick?". At any time, you should draw both the supply and demand line on your chart. The one to "pick" will depend on which line is breached. For a good trade, it ...

Well, I do hope you got out in time... price is shooting up as I type. I do know though that getting out of my long was indeed a good idea -- better than being stopped out at +10.

Take a look at the daily?

*ahem*

There is a long signal, yes... but no clear/suitable candle to calculate PP from. The long term trend (daily/weekly) for this pair seems to be down and I don't see any strong signs of reversal... so I am staying out for this trade.

Hmm... I am having second thoughts about this 4h to 1h thingy. This trade failed as can be seen -- not even a signal for 4h. Another thought -- the 1h may perhaps be used to confirm the 4h.

Unbelievable!!

Hideous, isn't it? But I milked 50 pips out of it and am wondering if I should enter a fresh short. LOL
