    President Donald Trump on Friday morning said he is meeting in the Situation Room “to make a final determination” after listing everything that Iran must do for him to approve a deal to end the war. It was not immediately clear from Trump’s statement on Truth Social which of his make-or-break conditions are already part of a preliminary agreement that U.S. and Iranian negotiators are currently working on to pause the three-month-old war. Irans supreme leader would never allow the US to come onto Iranian soil and take their uranium, that would be a massive sign of weakness from him and he would instantly get removed by someone else

That's why this insane cycle of "slide 0.5%~1.0% lower on Iran 'no deal' news >>>> jump 1%-3% on Trump 'a deal is close' news" continues.......if the war were actually to end, markets could accurately price in energy/inflation/etc with more certainty and take a direction on that. For now, everyone just sees tech blowing up and says "I have to get some of that, because it never goes down".

We need some healthy 2-sided action or we are going to see equities put themselves back into a situation whereby inflation concerns creep up and cause a quick 10-15% pullback. Of course, the long-term market will continue to move up and to the right. Just look at 2021, 2023/24, 2025. This year will likely end at or higher than it is now (I'd bet higher). However, if things shoot up another 10% and then crash 15% before moving back up 5-10%....or, worse, rally into the end of the year and set up another 2022 scenario, that's going to be painful all around.

We can keep the bull market going, just get a LITTLE breather in here to create some areas of support onto which we can fall back when the inevitable retracements occur.

Correct. And it's what people want... to come back to more "stable uncertainty" based on guessing economic readouts, than "unstable uncertainty" where you have to guess tweets and stuff.

My 50 cent and 2 m&ms is that there is global pressure mounting on the US and erodes the Trump admin status, so they simply looked to legitimize "someone" in Iran to sign a deal, which would give them a way out - "look guys we won, we're out of this place". Which is what i believe to be this particular announcement.

Overall nothing is won/done, and the tension will remain. But this will allow them to say that those are created by the "non-legitimate side" so it's of no concern. Also it allows them to use this as future justification against "ill interest organizations and groups operating in Iran"

Any problem encountered by other countries from now on, is not going to be the problem of US. They'll pass the hot potato.
