This shows that things are nowhere near over and that no deal was ever close, yet the market reacts the same way as it has when rumors of deals were reported. Makes no sense but not much does these days.

WHO is he TRYING to FOOL?

He says:
- Iran must agree to never have a nuclear weapon or bomb
- Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately with no tolls and unrestricted two-way shipping

Basically back to square one why this deal is taking so LONG, nothing has changed, stocks have been manipulated again, and we will see no deal on weekend and next week.

Say what you will about the guy: he keeps an eye on those markets and tosses out some "news" to keep things pumping. And it's killing the shorts.

Today had the makings of a capitulation (blow off) top. News out of Iran (which is probably true and will hold) had /cl moving up. The /rty was taking it on the chin for that reason. /nq popped to 30536 as the FOMO crowd (I am fast becoming one after all this back and forth crap) sought to capitalize on craziness like DELL earnings and front run the "next" 40% upside mover.

......then something happened: exhaustion met with volume to the downside. It was the first time we've actually seen such behavior in a long time. /nq gets back to flat on the day and then "boom", the truth post to bake in a floor.

I'm not saying the timing is suspicious, but, come on. What did Trump just say that wasn't already known? That the blockade would end? So, if Iran "wants" to charge a toll/control the strait, Trump's cool with that? Not cool with it but will end the blockade anyway? Already negotiated a deal?

Who goes to the situation room to work out final details for something like this? More comfortable than the oval office? Sound cooler? If all he is doing is saying "let's pull the navy off the hunt", that's a 30 second dialog with Caine.

In short: this tweet confirms nothing. Trump says what Iran will do (dictating to them, not confirming that they agreed to it). It 'suggests' that the US is ready to call this thing done but the other side has yet to confirm. Ghalibaf's comment from earlier today DID say that Iran would take no action until the other side did, so perhaps Trump's removal of the blockade is enough to get the ball rolling, but we'll see.

The equity markets need this thing to be over in order to unclench from the "hope" that good news is coming (which keeps markets pumping higher) and allow some two sided action.....but that's not in the best interest of those invested in the markets. The longer it drags on, the higher we go.

Let's see if the big boys decide to take some profits today (month's end, all time highs, etc), or, if they want to continue this fiasco through at least the SpaceX IPO......because people seem to want to buy anything under the sun related to tech.
