VIX at 16.56. US at war. Inflation on the horizon. Markets near all time highs.

VIX measures the volatility on equities, right? If its still going up and not up and down, then, of course, VIX goes lower. That doesnt mean they are not lying with all their teeth.

Since when the stock market follows economic fundamentals?
It very simple: There are too much money pumped into 401K every week, and too few stock companies to absorb all that money. The result is that, there are too many buyers than sellers, and the stock market will always move up, unless there is temporary very serious issue (like the Corona), then it retraces a bit, only to explode forward later. Stock market almost always near all time highs. This is inflation as too much wealth created out of the blue.

This was precipitated by mystery short selling of Natural Gas (NG) contracts due to strong sudden oversupply. Regulators say there is nothing to investigate.
Analysts believe this sudden supply of NG in the market could flow onto the energy complex in general driving down inflation and allowing new Federal Reserve Governor Warsh to take a more dovish tone on Interest rates.
