Euro area annual inflation up to 3.0%
Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 3.0% in April 2026, up from 2.6% in March according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, energy is expected to have the highest annual rate in April (10.9%, compared with 5.1% in March), followed by services (3.0%, compared with 3.2% in March), food, alcohol & tobacco (2.5%, compared with 2.4% in March) and non-energy industrial goods (0.8%, compared with 0.5% in March).
