You can't "fix" a problem that doesn't exist though. Trump is a "fixer" (self-proclaimed?).

It's a 'pay no attention to the man behind the curtain' scenario though as he was also the one who broke the market(s) in the first place.

History will be the judge, of course, but he's definitely interested in legacy....so hopefully he doesn't push one lever or another TOO far as he attempts to solidify his name in the history books (in a positive light).

I think there is a huge over-exaggeration by the rest of the world regarding the severity of the issue and a massive UNDER-estimation by the US regarding the impending issues.

What's interesting here, however, is that one of two things is going to happen today/tomorrow/this week.

A) tech earnings explode higher and rally the markets in the face of geopolitical risk (so Trump gets to take credit...even if in his mind...for higher markets CAUSED BY his threats; i.e. confirmation of his actions.

B) tech earnings implode markets and Trump gets to squeak in his negative geopolitical impacts as "it wasn't me, it was the tech earnings, just look at the markets....we were headed to highs...."

Mix in a little FED transition (and no cuts today) and you'll also be seeing "Powell should have cut rates so many times recently....that's why the markets are down...." tweets from DJT.

Say what you will, but the man times his actions/scapegoats appropriately per his intended narratives.

Now, the big question is: how does he time the conclusion of the war with respect to midterms....

The American public has a VERY short memory these days. If gas is back down to pre-war levels by the time the polling places open, there's a big chance most will forget how crazy Feb/March was.
