The Ayatollahs ordered Hezbollah to start a war in Lebanon to show support for their regime. They did so and over 2200 people got killed, many injured and a lot of buildings got demolished. Damage to Israel was minimal. Now the Ayatollahs are happy that Lebanon is finally going to be part of the ceasefire.

I have a few questions.
Was it worth it?
What did the sacrifice of all those people and properties achieve?
Wouldn't it have been better if the Ayatollahs never ordered their Hezbollah to fight for them in support?
Do they enjoy losing x number of their fighters that were among the 2200 killed?
Would they do it again if they could go back in time?
Will any of them get fired for their decisions?
Will they do it again and again?
And most importantly, can they sleep at night knowing that 1000'd were killed, houses lost, families left without their loved ones and breadwinners just to express support to Ayatollahs?
