1,2 billion, biggest economy in the world, advanced military and probably the most tactical and patient power in recent history - China will re-unite Taiwan without firing a single bullet!

I think the US military has proven the PLAN cannot do this (for now). For one, the PLAN is not as capable as the US Navy and moreover a blockade (or invasion) of Taiwan would be much more difficult than one of Iran. The straits of Hormuz and Taiwan are similar distances coast to coast and so if Iran can easily shut it down then so could Taiwan. Furthermore, the US Navy has the benefit of being a far from the homeland whereas the CCP heartland is not that far from Taiwan. Nor is the general coastline. It would be a complete sh!tshow.
