The war is not going to be a "plus" until the SoH is as free & open as it was in January. Ship traffic thru the Straits has been slowed to a traffic going on 5 weeks. All around the globe, but especially in Asia, they have been working thru stockpiles of crude, distillates, and fertilizer materials. Those supplies are going to run out. And as that happens, not only will the price of oil (and distillates like diesel, jet fuel, etc) continue to rise, but a lot of economic activity will start to fall off. Several Asian countries have already gone to 4-day work week, alt day driving, etc etc - just to conserve fuel.

It looks like US/Israel is going to escalate the bombardment of Iran to try to force them into some kind of bargain - one that allows the SoH to be open again, among other things. We'll see if that happens. Escalation will mean extreme volatility in the oil market over the near term, with the price of Brent going >$150/bbl.

Things could really start spiraling out of control. But, who knows, maybe Iran will say "Uncle" and basically surrender, sooner than later. Even if they do, it will take a while for oil supply to normalize and for oil price to come down.
