Strategy purchased another 17,994 BTC for about $1.28 billion between March 2 and March 8, according to an 8-K filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company paid an average of $70,946 per bitcoin for the latest batch. With the purchase, Strategy’s total holdings reached 738,731 BTC. The company acquired those coins at an average price of $75,862 per bitcoin, bringing the cumulative cost to roughly $56 billion including fees and expenses.
