Tether, the platform behind the leading stablecoin, $USDT, has recently minted a huge amount of Tether Gold ($XAUt). Particularly, Tether has minted a staggering $946M in $XAUt via Ethereum. As per the data from Etherscan, the minted $XAUt accounts for nearly 6 metric tons of physical gold. The respective minting event indicates the growing investor interest in the gold-backed stablecoin. The on-chain statistics reveal that Tether has cumulatively minted 192,657 $XAUt today on Ethereum.
