got my short in silver ... so that's slightly more important to me but I don't see silver bottoming yet ...so it might spil over to gold ...

The US close is important to Gold, on the 4Hour look at it, if we have a daily close above 1261.70 then the bulls will smile tomorrow

That was a big move in a short time at the end of the day

Im long and hope for support around 1261 but gold is looking kind of heavy.
Charts: XAUUSD/UJ/EU. Tools: stoch/daily pivots/fibo/channels. Scalper.

I was looking for price to clear above 1280-90, however this clearly failed, longs were trimmed.

On weekly clearly seen that we've hit fresh overhead supply.

we didn't manage to do a gap fill also since weekend open, so that could signal that price is running away from the gap.

For this week I don't have a valid entry on gold, seems that the tide is turning in favor of the bear side, however we had a high @ 1287 week range is 50, so that gives a potential low @ 1237 for this week. However I don't see a valid R:R entry, makes sense shorting at/below 1247-48 SL probably 15 and TP 1225.

PS: On a sidenote silver is dumping already.

gold on H4 also a clear bear flag pattern setup previously. so yeah we are going lower, potential initial target @ 1230.

The deal here is now to figure out a proper entry point with decent R:R.

I'm sorry guys, actually the average week range last 8 weeks on gold was 43, so with a high @ 1287 this gives us a low @ 1244, so see a decent entry point is 1248, however in terms or risk/reward at least for this week it wont work. pretty much buy low sell high that's the key.
