guys don't trust what jason rogers say. go look at fxcm stock price then u will understand why fxcm did this to dealing desk account.

I truly am absolutely amazed people are still trading here or with any US broker for that matter. They are choking us with restrictions on leverage, FIFO, etc. They offer no protection of your funds and they allow brokers under the watchful eye of the NFA and CFTC to do whatever they want. Random price spikes not seen anywhere else, freezing platforms, etc. You have to be literally out of your mind to be using A US broker!

what I have to do to get my previous leverage (1:200)..coz now I had 1:100 which is not really good for my small account.

Yeah you are right, for the first case they told me about bid and ask bla bla bla...i know what the hell bid and ask. I know it happened many times..for just 1 or 2 pips i can understand...but 12 pips..thats too much..and i do not know why their trading station chart diiferent with my MT 4 chart.i can not trade without SL too risky for my style. Change broker is an option..i will review several broker and make a consideration.

the second case...my loss become 2.5x...140 pip slip is superb...i hope they give me something back. I do not know why FXCM never learned anything. They should fix their system..this super slip..happened again and again..

It's not a matter of fixing their system......it's intentional. Wake up folks!!!!!!!

it's just what it is, yesterday there was the england elections, when the results hit the market the gbp went up instantly and your stops were filled where there was liquidity available (same old situation, similar to the famous snb chf tsunami), in this case only you are responsible to had been in a trade involving a currency that was going to move big at any time yesterday (due to elections results), however you may try to fill a complain maybe you can have something back. As Tunera mentioned, it's possible the UK elections could have affected your GBP/JPY position. That said, I encourage you to file a trade inquiry, if you still have any questions or concerns about the trade. The Trade Services Team can then investigate your case. If they find there was an error in our execution, FXCM will make the appropriate correction to your account.

Hi Onlyufx,

FXCM's new risk management policy requires the reduction of leverage on all NDD accounts up to a maximum of 100:1. In response to demand from traders, we have decided to offer a DD option to clients with less than $10,000 so they can get access to higher leverage up to 400:1.

There seems to be some confusion here. If you believe that a stop loss or stop entry order was triggered on your account when it shouldn't have been, then this is something we would want to investigate for you. Please give us that opportunity by filing a trade inquiry:

Aside from MT4, all the platforms FXCM offers including Trading Station, Mirror Trader and NinjaTrader reflect our new raw FX spread pricing. The MT4 charts are in the process of being updated, but still show our old pricing which includes a fixed markup in the spread. I will post an update here as soon as the MT4 chart prices are updated to match our new pricing. The prices in the Market Watch window of MT4 already reflect the new raw FX spreads: http://www.forexfactory.com/brokers.php#spreads

That's simply not the case. Otherwise, why would all our other platforms (Trading Station, Mirror Trader, NinjaTrader, etc.) already reflect our new raw FX spread pricing? http://www.forexfactory.com/brokers.php#spreads

The prices in the Market Watch window of MT4 already reflect the new raw FX spreads. As mentioned previously, I will let everyone here know once the MT4 charts have also been updated.

Yup. More than 140 Pips slippage.

Note that FXCM did not send a single tick for nearly one minute after 23:00:10 CEST.

But note also, that $OTHERBROKER had a tick history like this:

FXCM platform becomes very slow to load chart, open positions or close positions this week. There's no any issue on other Forex trading platforms such as OANDA at the same moments. The rates keep changing and follow the market price. But I cannot open positions most of the time. Anyone has the same issue?

Yeah i already fill and send the form. Hope fxcm make a correction...my loss become 2.5x than it shold be.

I know the other broker had the same history but they excecute my SL where they belong (i have the same position in another broker and they excecute my SL where they belong). Because this slipage my loss became 2.5 x than it should be

Now this is pretty interesting! Do you have a log of this trade on $OTHERBROKER and do you mind posting it here or PM it to me?
Without lot sizes and ticket numbers of course.

I'm asking, because on $OTHERBROKER I once had some 300P slippage on opening at market order which should not have been done because the "max slippage" parameter should have prevented such a trade. But they chose to ignore this risk protection parameter in their MT4-bridge. (Jason! Don't get any ideas! The FXCM MT4 bridge is bad enough already! )

Sad to hear that. Had three inquiries at FXCM because of such involuntarily risk excesses. All were reimbursed.
Had some quarrel here though, because Jason did not want to disclose the math behind the business process of the trade inquiry.

Hint: Create an Excel Sheet with your trade parameters (Ticket, Open, SL, TP, FXCM-Close price, expected close price) and save it along with the logs and screenshots of the mistrade. On some occasions FXCM miscalculates the reimbursements and you're better off when to make a trade inquiry about the trade inquiry... ;-)

So, what you are saying is THE LARGEST forex broker in the world, with the MOST LP's has 140, 180, 200 pips slippage when smaller brokers who don't have as many LP's in their feed have 10-15 pips slippage at the same time. Not an isolated incident, but repeated over and over and over as evidenced in this thread. But it's not intentional? So the largest broker in the world can't fix this issue? In the words of ESPN.......C'mon Man!!!

Mate, when I got filled 100 pips higher with my Prime of Prime broker they fixed it with the respective counter party, seriously I've had these slippages with FXCM too, it's theft!

Yes, the funny thing is the regulators want to cap our leverage, enforce FIFO, no hedging, not offer any protection of our funds, etc. Traders in the rest of the world enjoy restriction- free trading and protection of their money. Instead of wasting all of their resources making our lives more difficult, they should spend more time and energy policing these thieves we call United States forex brokers. It just amazes me more and more how the NFA and CFTC try to lead us to believe they are protecting us when it is the exact opposite. They either really don't have a clue or they just take us for a bunch of idiots.
