Disliked{quote} You can't turn it off, its a natural physiological response...When your stressed even though your "focused" your cortex shuts off in a fight or flight response meaning your not making conscious decisions, instead your in a state of reacting to situation as opposed to logically thinking of them. So then when your back in a sense of calm you analyze your "decisions" that you've made in your heightened state. A lot of schooling under my belt lol!Ignored
And yes, you can turn it off. At least I learned how to do that in real time. And I know anybody else can do the same..
If your body reacts as if it would be in danger..and there's no danger in sight then why to be on high alert? No reason. Even if there would be reason, even then you better be able to relax. Then you are able to do best decision/take best action. Doing the analysis after the fact gets you only so far, because if you don't know how to properly set the fight & flight so it won't active when there's no real danger and if you don't know how to calm it down in real time when there's no danger..then your previous preparation is pretty much useless if you get on high alert anyway..and then what? Wait till it calms down? How long that will take? It's a choice but there's way better choice.
And going through life being stressed by zillion of things..that's really tiring and it doesn't have to be that way. And life just gets better and better. And it feeels just great!
After the fact analysis is nice thing, but practical steps/tricks are even better. As that helps you deal with what is in the real time, thus making better choices. And you don't need any meditation tracks or any other fancy tool. After all do you wanna go through life with earphones on? Nothing wrong with that, but it's my choice.
