hi emptymind,

i've been online but not checking the thread due to other pressing tasks...

Your count that sees a C wave to the downside is my alternate count and I have to stay alert to that possibility. However, as you remark, the log scale shows the top channel line may still need to be touched, so this is a good reason to have at least one alt count that allows for this possibility. If that five wave structure down from the Nov all time high was a triangle it may well have concluded the correction and then we would be in a wave up since mid-December. It's an alternative worth considering else one might be so bent on waiting for a large wave down to begin that one fails to notice the unfolding possibility of advance.

In my own preferred count we are on the brink of a motive diagonal advance in which the wave degrees will steadily increase - not only for the advance but for corrections too! I expect this is going to catch the majority which currently holds a bearish view completely off-guard.

Alternatively, a downdraft will be welcome to buy in lower, but my analysis says that is less likely than the scenario of slow parabolic advance. If you consider for a moment that we may be in an impulse to the upside since mid-December, what do you see if you apply your count? Do you think it's viable?

i don't see impulse. i see a corrective 3 wave up
the clue was the diagonal 12345........ that made it easy to label A so the correction to upside is B

confirmed, i see your count - ABC up to make a B wave. Then a C wave down - still to come What i meant to ask in my original post was: what are some viable alt counts? Anyway, no sweat if you don't keep an alt count...

i can barely maintain 1 count...... to my eyes the diagonal waves looks right. one giant A wave. other counts i tried abc but i was not happy with it.

BTC-e target at 860?

The 1.618 extension of this first wave up shows a potential near 860, but there are many obstacles on the way: psych level 800, resistance around 825-835 and Fib confluence at 850... good luck BTC!
