Disliked{quote} take it easy with the language around here - this is a speculative instrument and it goes up and down. It does so in a manner that some think is exaggerated but so does GBPUSD in my opinion - or some EM currencies like USDZAR. We know from QE that most money in existence is only an electronic entry, so what's the difference really? In one view, everything going round in these markets are derivatives and the whole house of cards is builidng up to a massive failure. In such a scenario it doesn't really matter if the Bitcoin is a crypto-currency...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Ok, what about those Japanese paid at 100K yen, their yen is worth a lot less now. Things depreciate. You are over thinking it. People trade it to make money. What you seem to be getting stuck on is the idea that you must logically deem it into your value system. Chonchy may want to be paid in BCs, I don't. I'm also not going to fret over it. Normal currency relationships do not fluctuate such percentages....Ignored
Disliked{quote} BC is not meant to be a collectible. It is measure of value and a mean of exchange to facilitate trade. iPhone 0.5 coins, car 20 coins. Your annual pay 80 coins in today's value to USD. Let's say a few months ago you were hired for 800 coins per annum. Who will buy your output today when BC is $1,000 when they can import labour from USD world for a fraction of your value, i.e. for only 80 coins? Either you will have to take weekly pay cuts or value of the coin got to go down. If you have to reprice your pay to compete with USD world, the...Ignored
