Sorry for the inconvenience but there is the issue with the force update. We will fix it as soon as possible. To solve it please install the version from fxcm.com http://download.fxcorporate.com/FXCM/FXTS2Install.EXE
Or replace Crogram Files/Candleworks/FXTS2/indicators/indicators.cab with

still no historical data on the indices ?

Hey Jason, it was only USDOLLAR and fortunately it was only for one day.. 90% of the time its totally fine. thanks for your reply

It sounds like the update for Trading Station Desktop did not complete successfully on your computer. Please uninstall and reinstall the latest version.

I did all that last friday.......so you are telling me to do it again, Jason with all do respect I have better things to do the to keep on messing about with reinstalling trading stations !! How do I go about that without losing all my personal settings, I'm starting to get enough off all these "little" annoying issues !

problem sorted and didn't reinstall at all, just restarted TSII.

When you install the latest version of Trading Station Desktop, it will give you an option to keep your current platform settings including your chart layouts.

As I understand your MT4 related account types have no spot Gold pairs? I refer to http://www.fxcm.com/products/metatra...fits-fxcm-mt4/

there, Forex pairs section...


in general, which of your account and platform types dont offer Gold, Silver etc?

Hi Uae,

While that isn't a default function of Trading Station, you might be interested in a custom strategy available for the platform called Stage Trailing Stop. This strategy allows you to set up to 5 different stops price levels that your trade would adjust to if the market price reaches the corresponding target levels. For example, your first stop, could be set 100 pips below your entry price, while your second stop could be set at break even.

Gold (XAU/USD) is available to non-US residents on all platforms including MT4 through FXCM UK and FXCM Australia.

Hi Jason,

Any news to whether FXCM are going to change their MT4 servers to NY close ie GMT+1 currently? I know alot of other brokers have their servers set to this time and it must be due to customer demand. Also one of your IB's has their servers set to this so time so should n't be too difficult to change

Hi Mitch,

We just added a new MT4 indicator on FXCMapps.com called Daily Candles in EST.

This indicator converts a regular offline MT4 chart, so that the daily candles begin and end at 5pm New York time. That results in charts with five daily candles per week, each 24 hours in length. The charts created with this indicator update prices in real time and support additional indicators. Indicators added to these charts use Daily Candles in EST as their source data.

Hey Jason and Valeria P. I really like the new release of TS2. I like the added ability to have charts inside the main window. Can't go wrong with more options... My only request at this time is to be able to open multiple MarketScope windows. That... would be epic.

Oh, and you know what else would be epic? A program that would make creating strategies completely idiot proof. It would prompt you for everything and automatically write the code.

Example:

Software: What indicator would you like to use?
User: RLW
Software: What parameters do you want?
User: *inputs parameters*
Software: What time frame do you want to trade?
User: H4
Software: How do you want to enter the market?
User selects pre-configured options: "Buy when RLW closes below -80 and Sell when RLW closes above -20".
Software: Do you want to add additional entry criteria?
User: Yes
Software: What indicator would you like to use?
User: 34 Period Simple Moving Average, Close
Software: How do you want to apply this?
User selects pre-configured options: "Only buy when price is above 34 SMA, only sell when price is below 34 SMA."
etc...
etc...
etc...
User prompted to save file, blah blah blah.

Make sense?

The ability to open multiple Marketscope windows will be added in the future release.

To create simple strategies please try to use Strategy Wizard. You can download it and learn more about it here.

New CFD Trading Hours

On Sunday, October 27th at 01:00 GMT, the clocks in Europe will go back one hour, because of the end of Summer Time. Below are the CFD trading hours that will be in effect starting next week. Changes are highlighted in yellow.
