Oh yeah forgot about that deposit bonus, you get charged 3% on an international cc deposit but they'll bonus your deposit by 10%, that surely makes up for the fees.

i'm not a employee , just a small customer. I never liked their policy, charging 3% for all international credit card deposits.

Yep, bank and merchant fees. Why 'percentage' is used and not a fixed amount is just typical bank gouging and profiteering. Why it costs ten times as much to handle another zero on a transaction is just bank theft and one of many reasons they, (banks) claim billions extra in profit each quater here in Australia.

The only free deposit is interbank transfer within Australia.

I can transfer into my US brokers account faster and cheaper than I can here in Aust. International wire costs approx $70 fixed.

jeanluoie is correct, all brokers and merchants...
$70 wow you are getting ripped off mate. I do international transfers all the time, OZ to US and costs me $25 AUD.

Yep, ANZ, and by the time it lands through JP Morgan it's around $60-70. No real drama though as it can be easily recouped. Just sh!ts me tho what they charge for a largely automated process.

Hi all,

Looks like a client has beat us to the punch on announcing this on the Forex Factory forum (thanks rmattes!).

Indeed, we have released the new payment system in an attempt to make payments easier for our international clients. It's a great way for international clients to avoid the 3% fee charged by NAB for credit card payments, and to avoid international bank transfer fees. Our goal is to make it quicker and less costly for traders to fund their account so that they can start of trading with more equity in their account.

It's a great system, and will be particularly advantageous to European clients who do generally face higher international & intermediary transfer fees. Check it out here: Make a payment via Global Collect

hi natalie,i really hope that GoMarket can salvage his 'ruined' image,no offence meant.After Chris had left,Go was left in some unprofessional rep's hand and i guess alot of unhappiness events had hit Go too[if u need more info,pls go thru all the posts and u will know what i meant]
in my humble opinion,u will need to come to this forum more often and of course Go MUST really do something genuine for your clients,us-the traders! as u may know there r alot of brokers who really screwed their clients and i hope that Go is NOT one of them,i will keep my fingers crossed.Good Day!

Well it's a step forward for O/S clients, but if you really want to make inroads you need to provide 24hr processing and instant into accounts.

I know my comment may be a tad pesamistic but to be competitive you would need to match Pepperstone at minimum with spreads and stop order distance, and to make a huge leap forward, add instant 24hr deposit like City Index, 3-4 seconds and the funds are in for trading.

Keep up the good work though, your efforts are appreciated by some.

Bank of america charges $50 or so for international wires. If you have military account, it is $25.

If you think that's bad, most USA banks charge a 3% +$5-10 foreign transaction fee for any transaction that is not done in USD. There are overseas-friendly banks/credit unions to use your money with.

Instant funding can only happen with a combination of sophisticated automation script coupled with irreversible payments. The global collect thing is a huge step in the right direction.

The excellent script to keep the trade server alive and so reduce execution time dramatically no longer works on Go.

See post#3576 on page 239.

It shows the following comment in the Expert folder:

"Trade is not allowed in the expert properties"

Obviously Go is not interested in letting us trade at faster execution speed or even to know how slow their executions are!

Is there any way around this interference/manipulation of the script?

We haven't been as active on the forum as we have been in the past, but will look to do so going forward.

Overall, clients are always notified of important changes and updates via direct email, but we'll look to post on the forum also to keep the Forex community updated on GO Markets' activities.

Cogs - appreciate your comments, client feedback is always welcomed. We are looking into 24 hour processing of payments, we hope to have this up and running soon.

Although its early days, Global Collect has been a wonderful success so far, with an influx of successful payments far beyond what we were expecting.

been with Go for a little while now and all good until recently when without warning i couldnt get MT4 to connect (got the old no connection rubbish) - Go support offered not much in the way of support and instead blamed my connection firewall etc....anyway FXCM connects fine via MT4 so not sure why it wont with GO? Anyway i've been logging onto my GO a/c via the web trader, and as of this morning that wont work either? again Go support were most (not) helpful....starting to think they dont want my custom?? maybe I need to start losing some money so they will let me connect again?

Your welcome Go Markets. I am glad you read these posts as we are your clients and FF being one of the larger forum around I am sure reading our posts and listening to customer feedback will prove advantagous in the long run.

24 hour processing - a good step in the right direction, after all it goes into your pockets if you run a good tight brokerage service.

Apologies for the delay, I asked the team to do some testing for you before posting. We’ve tested the script and there are no issues with it on our platform. We advise you look for “rooicol – Maintain Session Script.ex4”. If you download it you shouldn’t experience any issues.

Hi MrTrendy,

As a first step it's best to check that you have the latest build of MT4, version: 4.00 Build 432 is the most recent version.

A firewall on your end could certainly be the issue, but we won't know without more information - if you call us directly one of our support staff can jump on a team viewer session so that we can view your screen and resolve any problems you have having with your setup together.

We have previously advised all clients not to use the WebTrader platform, it is being discontinued as of the 27th of July due to Xogee (a third-party platform developer) being prevented by Metaquotes from continuing to connect to MetaTrader 4. I have copied the information you need on this below.

Xogee Apps Limited (Xogee) a 3rd party platform developer of GO Markets Mobile Trading Applications & WebTrader platform have been prevented by Metaquotes from continuing to connect to MetaTrader 4.

GO Markets provides the following mobile trading platforms that have been developed by Xogee: iPhone | Android | Blackberry | iPad | WebTrader

As a result we will be forced to withdraw all of the above listed applications developed by Xogee from our trading servers on the 27th of July, 2012. Until the apps are removed, we ask that you only use the mobile trading apps for research and to not execute any trades.

This issue affects all brokers who offer Xogee’s third party software, including FxPro, Alpari, & many more. GO Markets offers no requotes, we are a straight through processing provider. Our execution is Market Execution, as we offer other CFD products on the platform - this is what you will experience with most brokers.

All traders regardless of trade size / activity receive the same spreads and the same execution with GO Markets.
