GDX double dip, I have a small tier 1 (.25% of full size) position in gold mining stocks. GDX could head higher soon as it officially fails to make lower low. GDX is definitely on my radar.

kindly i need your help , as i in critical situation i lost today more than 50000 $ and its all what i have for living and i most recover it any way any how please any one can help me for tonight for any advice in gold i will be very appreciate for him .. i ask for trading advice from the expert herre what they strongly recomnded for gold now ( sell or buy ) this is the last chance for me

That is a typo right, you mean $50.

Otherwise if you lost more than $50000, you also lost your mind.

I wouldn't take too much from today's daily bar which was an inside day and below average volume.

There is no way to know for sure. I would not be surprised about more monetary easing, however, Obama is going to try for a second term, thus, they may try to wait to release any info about that until it has to be or after the election..

The dollar has been sliding against most majors and minors all week, this could suggest the market positioning itself in the wake of such an announcement of QE3. Yet the fed knows how to talk in circles so perhaps some hints may be the things to look for rather than a specific claim which we may not get.

Best way to trade it if unsure is read the market and position with trend or STAY OUT.

As time moved forward since are drop from a few years of trendline ending @ 1600 area, take note of major resistance 1600-1611 before adding longs in this area, one might want to wait for confirmation of trading above.
The yearly trend (pivot 1600), the 2nd strongest trend the quarterly (pivot is 1611), 3rd is the monthly (1604).
The lesser trends, the weekly and daily price action noted last week and monday.
The battle last quarter was between the quarterly (1689) and yearly (1600), (remember when all the analyst said there was a bunch of buyers at 1689 area and then when she went through and tested last years breakout area 1550 they said were heading north through 1689 area.)
The battle this quarter is confirmed trading above 1600-11, 98.9 percent of the time she shows us when the confirmation holds.

Outside day down. Ugly. I guess mkt was expecting something specific from Bernanke this time round. Perhaps they dont want to get commited ahead of the NOV elections.

Does anyone know when Jackson Hole is?
