why not use mt4 for charting a lot of tools out their use it on demo

It does no harm to ask for other ways to see a chart. Maybe other people can open your eyes and lead you to see something that is obvious for them, because it is there, crystal clear, and you just can't see it.

As I said before, I'm not looking for anyone to tell me what to do, nor when to buy or sell, what I'm looking for is a way to achieve a better understanding of trading, and the only way to learn is asking.

It's good to know how people think. And even I'm not a pro, I have my own criteria and I use my own trade ideas, so i'm not searching for holy grails, or trying to get rid of what I'm doing. I'm trying to see what other people see, because I find it extremely valuable.

Do you know stereograms? Well, it is life lesson to me. Only by changing the way you look at things, you'll be able to understand what is hidden just in front of everyone eyes.

Marketscope also has many tools. You can even ask for indis to be ported from MT4.

Hi jsr, like you I use marketscope. I look for support/resistance area's, trendlines, candlestick patterns, current trend, fibs, pivots etc etc. Then I look to set up a trade based on all the info I can identify on my chart. I often also look at the USDX chart to help me make a decision.

Once I have a trade set-up idea I then watch the m15 chart and wait for price to confirm my trade set-up. I use SAR and MD for this. I try to trade what I see happening on my chart and not take a trade too early. Often when I take a trade too early without following my confirmation rules, I find thats usually when my SL gets hit.

If this all fails I flip a coin and pray haha

I don't use SAR and MD.

In which TF do you use SAR? H4 or m15?

SAR only in m15 to help with confirmation

Gold fell below $1,721 and 1,705 ( two levels that have previously acted as both support and resistance ) after the Fed chairman failed to give a clear signal that further quantitative easing was imminent. However it bounced after breaking below its 100 day moving average around $1,690. Gold it still looks vulnerable to further selling, and a move to &1,675 cannot be ruled out. This marks the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement of the Sep-Dec sell off and the 200 SMA. However, if it can now consolidate above $1,705 then a resumption of this year`s rally could soon take place.
