thought this would be the answer. The one minute chart posted was a clear news spike

no i know its becouse of high spread.
but like forexgain said spread with other broker isn't this high.
i'd rather have a constant spread a bit higher so i can always put my buy order x pips above my trade level.
or better yet, just do the trade no matter what the spread.
now i can't ever know for sure if i am away my order gets triggered.
i have had other brokers, they all had problems far worse then this.
like disconnects for longer periods or orders that got stuck.

now i have to wait for a wave 2 and hope i can get in.
today is a spike so next buy is 50% of todays candle with stop below low..

Thems the breaks I am afraid. There is always a trade off. Brokers who offer fixed spread have to protect themselves against losses during news. They do this through disconnects and re-quotes.

I trade with IG Markets. From my experience so far, I've never seen a spread worse than 2 pips, before, at or after news time. The price may climb/drop at an accelerated speed but I've not seen wider than 2 pip spread.

Secondly, my orders are always filled at the price stipulated regardless of how fast the market is moving and usually within seconds.

I previously used City Index - when the price went past my order, it changed to "Order Pending" (not exactly the words used but something similar) for a good 2 to 3 mins. This frustrated me as the market went up 20 pips without me, then came back down filling my order and dropping further after that. Finally with a loss of 20 pips. During that "pending" period, I can't do anything but stare at the screen. There was once when it went past my order and then filled it at a worse price.

* do note that I do not have a big account and trade small most of the time.

i prefer all indicators for Mt4

Can you be more specific? I haven't tried their MT4

It seems that it's kinda feature when a broker does not have MT4 or has it in some strange way but has its own platform.

I am looking for good broker, as far as I know, Oanda is very popular among South America traders, who knows, is it true?

"popular" does not automatically mean good.

What you should know is that it's well regulated but it comes with all the limitations of American regulation. It's a market maker (no ecn), that means forget about trading during news announcements. Execution is good. Platform is meh. MT4 integration is not good especially for orders. Trading costs are okay.

Try it for yourself and see if it fits the bill for you.

Yes, is it possible.

You need to open a new buy or sell with the units you want close.

Same problem here. I've called up the customer service but they said that they don't have this problem on their side. But this is not new to me. They have this problem on and off. And it has nothing to do with my internet connection, nor my pc.
