You can't draw a box or text box. Sorry don't know what you mean by your second question, I don't use mt4. You can adjust the x and y axis (squash up or expand) by using the slide bars at the bottom right hand corner of the chart if that helps.

It's what i dont like on Fxtrade, we must adjust the axis. On MT4, no need to do that, it's automatic.

Recently I'm using Oanda (Java platform) and was quite happy. No disconnects, no re-quotes, moderate spreads in my trading hours. But today one of my operations have been closed 1 pip before my stop. My stop was 9 pips, and I have lost 9, not 8. is this normal practice in Oanda?

I just started using the mt4 subaccount, but i trade through fxtrade. Just wondering if anybody else experience this before. I sent this email to oanda.

I had 3 positions closed for EURUSD on 1/4/12.
There were:

Sell @ 3042, SL 3055 ($166.42) - stopped out
Sell @ 3057, SL 3068 ($148.84) - stopped out
Sell @ 3066, TP 3034 $431.43 - profit target

However, on MT4 account history tab, the 2nd trade not listed but it is treated as a withdraw? Please fix this. I have attached images of the fxtrade transaction history vs the MT4 account history.

i think it could be to do with the non-standard trade volume, your positions was 1.353 lots, and MT4 can't do 0.003 Lots.

... I'm not sure though, that's just an idea

i've had other trades with non standard lot, but it went through. the only thing i can think of is that that trade was stopped out so quickly that mt4 wasn't able to 'follow' it.

that's position interest oanda credits or deducts based on the side of the trade you take.

Thanks for pointing it out again. I wasn't quite sure.
Although, the Metatrader is a third party platform with some limited technical features. In this case your the trade under the history tab is not displayed as it should be, however the balance is correct. Because of this we advise our clients to have a look on our fxTrade platform to monitor their trades. And you can see under the Activity tab, that this trade was treated as a 'Stop Loss Trade' and not a withdraw.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

So apparently mt4 can screw trades up but the balance reported should be ok.

Hopefully this doesn't happen to often.

OANDA is quite good bad it becomes bad broker when news came out as they starts SL hunting during news release. Their spread expands like ghost during news time. Except widening spreads OANDA is a good broker. A recent show of their spread widening can be seen from the below screenshot. First part shows the spreads of EXNESS and second one shows the spreads of OANDA. The screenshot is taken few minutes back after the release of GBP news....

i fucking hate it when my order doesn't get filled.
it happens far to often.
this one was 8 pips over price and didn't get filled.

with my losing trades i loose and my many profitable trades just don't get triggered

10 pips over my limit order for a full minute.

logshot: open the java fxtrade platform, and on the gbp/aud chart add study -> priceoverlay -> low ask and low bid.

You will see the ask price didnt touch your order. Its still strange.

Very strange. Been with them for 5 years I think and never had this prob. Are you accounting for spread. If not spread then may be something to do with the MT4 platform (MT4 is absolute crap in my opinion, much better of using fxtrade platform). Have you contacted them about this problem?

It was 8:30 EST - news time, so there was a big spread on that pair (as usual with Oanda). Its up to 30 pips in this pair. And since MT4 displays the bid price, the ask price was far away.
