Looking for Long at the weekly support level around the 1660 marker...

but on a daily - looks ugly!! looks almost like it could see 1500 again!! Eeek!!

200EMA on the daily is ~1647.. wouldn't that be a better entry perhaps?

I go with what Im familier with and that is watching different timeframe trends, when trading day to day.
I do have 1648 on my radar and as of today that is a trend guide for 2012, my eyes will be on the quarterly close .

Lets see how 1668-70 responds.I may have to cut my buy order.

Au has fallen to the uptrend line and support in chart.

Early DEC normally sees some weakness. PA under 18, 45 and 100 DMA and nearly at lower BB.

Long again at 1665.3.

Can't remember whether is was on this forum but a couple of weeks ago someone asked about the possibility of XAU/USD hitting 1600 or slightly below before the end of this year. Whoever it is, I hope they are having a wonderful time

I'm so not keen jumping in!!! Gold has been my best trade, and also holds my worse trade too!

Rode a three full contracts from 1611 to 1891, added another 2 longs only to see that mega correction! wiped out all my winnings.

what happened was that I set more buy in's and while I was at work, they got triggered, and slammed my stops within the hour - and the stops were around 50pips each!!

Got slammed on that day... I will never forget that day

I was like I will never sell.LOL.Last days I make more money on sells than buys.And i still hate sells.But when i want money...
I am holding my 1800 buy too.Horrible
Today I make all my money on waiting(pending) orders. great.I am learning new things

Like earlier, I may drop my idea of buying at 1610 when it comes to 1610 or 1640 then i'll be thinking of 1400, that was and is the true bottom for me which may Never materialize.

The 2 purchases that i have made at $17xx and $15xx are still with me, the third and maybe my last purchase would be $1610 Maybe, Maybe! because my original target remains $1400

But then again $1600 for gold, $28 for silver and $1400 for platinum are the sort of prices that are too good to miss.

(Please do not follow my words as i have No or very little experience, i have only been watching prices for some years thats all )
