I don't like the idea that discussing a fairly costly issue is considered "moaning". Yes, all of the brokers have issues, it is a business that advertises strongly on its benefits, and then when it doesn't pan out we have to just take what is given. I know, I have read the terms and conditions, and they are all very open in that you are in a volatile market place and guarantees can't be made. BUT! they are the ones touting how much better than other traders they will be if you come and join them. The other trading places say the same of course, as they have on the phone this week. I am staying due to previous service that has made me feel positive about the company overall. That may change in time...

I also don't see that they are "only human" when this is a business transaction and the spreads have been a lot wider than what they advertised for quite a few days now. Yes, things can go wrong for all of us in any business, but we still have the right to quicker answers when dealing direct with them. We aren't just sitting here moaning without having tried to contact them. I gave up contacting them when I saw the discussion here, but I felt very uncomfortable about the whole moving and getting bad spreads due to issues with their supplier. Then when I see others not able to get replies to emails I just shake my head.

Anyone has better execution speed < 1 second?

I still see high execution speed around 3-4 seconds...

if you are going to complain about something why don't you make it something reasonable to complain about?

you posted this crap a bit less than an hour ago. ok, let's look at the charts shall we? hmm, market was stuck in a shitty little range for the last THREE hours. without even looking at actual prices you can see the same thing just by looking at the tick volume! it went to virtually nothing.

looking at either prices or tick volume paints a pretty big picture on market movements. does any of this sound like lack of liquidity to you? in what universe does the market have tight spreads when the market is barely alive?

if the last 3 hours was nothing but 2 pip doji's every bar i swear people would still be bitching about the spread, despite the fact that it's absolutely the worst time to be putting on any trade and the market isn't moving anywhere to make a profit or loss on.

now, price has broken out of the range and the spread is around 2 to 3 pips.... like it has been at times during more liquid hours lately! hell, i even saw it dip to 1.9 pips for a moment a minute ago.

can we get back to asking or complaining about real issues instead of demanding the market bend to everyone's personal desires and have chris personally email them this that and the other?

I agree with nubcake , it's impossible to find low spread in low liquidiy market.


From the other side, instead I had today two moment (about a minute) of no quotes.
I saw on my PC o at home with ADSL, then immediately logged on VPS of CNS in NY and found the same absence of quotes.
But not server disconnection, only no datafeed.

After ~2 minute gap with no connectivity on my GoMarkets MT4 clients, I'm now seeing spreads have now returned to around 1.4 pips. We're back to normal now?

The spread on E/U has been between .8 and 1.7 for me in the last hour or so.

oh no i just saw the spread hit 0.9! why isn't the spread -100? why don't gom give me money for nothing? why didn't chris email me personally as well as leave a voicemail on my phone and sms me and sky-write to me so that i knew that today is tuesday and that is the day after monday and the day before wednesday? why do i have to wake myself up each day instead of chris whispering gently in my ear to wake up?

Wow Im seeing excellent spreads, AUD 1 pip, USDJPY 1 pip, EURUSD 0.8-1 pip, hope this is the new conditions, cant wait to see london open today!!!

Also minimum stop/limit level should be removed shortly, GoM say spreads should be fully fixed by weeks end....lets hope now we can have some consistancy so we can get back to trading

Yes in last half hour spreads have gone bad again, GoM did say that by weeks end it would be all sorted, as I type AU has dropped back below 1 pip.

guys spread issue is fact and accepted by GO,
we have 2 options

1. live (trade) with it
2. take week off and come back next week.

edit : my choice was option 3

... unfortunately, you are wrong ... the spread is very important factor in trading equally to liquidity, but market is not as flat
as you're claiming and surely those unresolved issues by GoMarkets aren't helping at all.
