Gold seems vulnerable ATM. I am waiting to see if we test 1600 otherwise pretty much flat. 1609 seems to be interim support.

If it holds maybe we can rise up today and take back some losses.

In profit (mildly) on XAG longs.

XTrade, how you think EURCHF will react at level of 1.2 set by SNB???
If it is still active, it's prefered to buy eur but not chf....

Here in Aust it is usually traded against a currency, usually USD, but I have done it against others like JPY also. It has similar leverage to the currency pairs so is often referred to as being a forex trade. Not sure if that's the same in the UK for Whatfx but over here we certainly refer to it (possibly technically incorrectly) as "forex". Could just be Aussie slang!!

Well technically everything is traded against a currency. You shop at a store, you give "trade" them money (or plastic money) for their goods or services.

But Gold is a commodity and Aussie or Euro or Yen are currencies/forex whether or not they are paired up with something else. At least that is the way I look at and most everyone I have dealt with in trading over the many years do.

i bought gold at 1641,1630 last night eastern time but since then it has gone down , was it a bad decision to buy these based on current PA?

dogbreath, man thanks for the thumbs up, but please keep watching, we are going through a tough phase, gold has to shoot, it has to go touch 2000, but before that it has to come down, how much i don't know, that is why i ask you to follow gold's behaviour.

I, as an outsider (not in daily trading) who wants to invest, see gold at 1400, but it maybe my desire only, because Indian demand in the real world is tremendous, it is the need of sub-continent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc) right now, people make gold jewellery for marriages no matter what the prices are winter is wedding season, it is a compulsion, specially in India where you have to give away a lot of gold jewellery in dowry!

Silver, Platinum, Palladium, they don't need them, all they need is gold !
