Hi all, my view is bullish if H1 candle closes above 31.32 level. Please see attached.

I was hoping for a drop up until Bernanke's announcement - and then a nice chance to buy in.

The bounce from the bottom of the channel already started, so if Benny is hawkish, we may in fact break below the bullish channel and be back in bearish territory.

Either way - staying out before Bernanke's announcement.

I may need to stay out until November depending on whether we see some consistent direction after the announcement.

I have a good reason - I have seen the price spike taunting people to jump on board the long train just after Ber-spanky makes an announcement, then all of a sudden price starts dropping.

Best to wait and see. Maybe wait a half hour, as others have suggested in the past.

Very intellectual overview of the crisis, but nothing significant said with respect to policy IMHO. Intentionally obscure about what the next policy decision will be, but definitely an effort made to counter those downplaying the Fed toolbox.

Looking like the range remains.

The channel wasn't broken, so I don't see a reason why we would return to bear country.

Anyone have any insight? I will leave it to TA experts.

Pondering a buy here.

It might be too early for me to say this, but from the PA, it looks like silver is ready to go upwards. Please see attached.

Looks like could range more, downmove quite strongly rejected off the 23.6 fib ret (see volume spike), although the ascending triangle is now broken.

Could see a retest of the trendline/38.2 fib ret or down from here for another go at the 23.6...

*EDIT* - Forgot to mention that on the way up the dreaded 1660/1665 is in the way...

Does any one have an indicator that shows the percentage that gold has fallen from the last close/ or the record high e.g -10% please upload...

Thanks it shows the amount of pips from a recent high. I dont think you can set it that it shows the amount it dropped from the all time high. thats actually what im looking for. I want to buy the dips and buy on e.g 5% dips and 10% dips or whatever. Does any one else have a indicator like this?

For those who were waiting for some market moving news from Bernanke, that hasn't happened in months.

Europe holds the economic community's attention these days and word that France and Germany had agreed to increase the bailout rescue fund sent equities and the euro and gold etc higher.

So the focus is over there, not here.

Oh and then late today Apple's earnings weren't quite as much as estimates projected so futures - right now - are saying tomorrow might head back down.

with yearly breakout retested at 1551 and last week monday we moved up out of quarterly trend guide 1617 we have
a battle between monthly pivot 1674 and quarterly pivot 1617.
So we take it a day at a time.
Although the daily trend was down yesterday as we took the daily pivot south we tested both gold and silvers weekly trendguide 1634 and 30.57, they both said to go north.

Hi,

I need decent advice on my investment plan

I'm already -1K$ and yesterday my account wiped completely
I'm only 3 month old in this trading and after analysing my 3 months, I find the main reason behind my loss is greediness.

now i'm planning to top op my account with 500$ and buy 0.02 lot, sell stop @1580-1600 of Gold and keep it for 1,2 months.
since I can't give enough time for leanings and tracking movement daily

please advice
