you guys arent getting the please wait message when trying to exit a trade with oanda ? I mean a good half my trades with them took long to get out of

I have not traded with them live yet today but the demo is oh so slow and the "trade index" message comes up. Not sure what the deal is.

Spoke with a Oanda rep and they informed me it is effecting the demo trades and is rare.

i had some initial doubts too. but the thing is my eurchf position then was really small, as i had several positions open, so i expected them to reinstate my trade.
now, if all the traders, specially those with huge positions, had theirs reinstated, then that would really be aweseome.

Hey peeps!

Going live with Oanda and wondering about liquidity of their XAUUSD pair.I am bit skeptic on this pair or should i say that i have prejudices.
For gold,futures or ETFs sounds much better to me.
Anyone traded gold thru Oanda?What are experiences?

Actually, Oanda EU doesn't offer managed account, that's why I couldn't find the link.

my withdrawal request made on 9/30 hasn't been released. The guy says there is higher volume of requests so they are in backlog?

anybody else experiencing this?

I've been with these guys for close to 5 years..and this is the first time this happens..so i'm beginning to get pissed off

i gotta say, i'm impressed, cause as soon as you posted that, i got emails confirmation that my withdrawal was processed and my bank statment shows that.

SO i guess, i'm cool now. But shit like this can tip people off. Like i said, even though i've been with oanda for years, i will quickly turn away if issues like this occur on a consistent basis.. if it does, fix your system so that you adhere to your own rules.

Same situation here, made request early Monday morning, still waiting to be processed.

It makes little difference to me whether it's taking one business day or three, what concerns me is I've been constantly withdrawing funds on a monthly basis for couple of years now, and this is the first time experience.

Yes, the month end/quarter end request volume may be high, but is there other reason behind this? Normally, my request was processed within couple of hours, now its well into the third day. The withdrawal volume would've been huge to create such an impact.

Quick question friends.

Oanda corp uses Chase as their bank so it means that if Chase has liquidity problems Oanda ( meaning we) will have also liquidity problems.

In case there is a problem with the institution ( Chase bank) and the FDIC takes over will we be insured ? I doubt they ( Oanda) keep their clients money on small individual accounts, instead I believe the money is kept in a huge or a few big accounts which would put us away from the FDIC umbrella.

Brokers aren't banks, and your trading account is not covered by the FDIC.
If your broker goes broke, your money goes with them.

I understand that. My question was more on the lines of .....

I don't only have to worry about my broker going bust, but also the bank they deal with going bust.

I withdraw a relatively small amount on monday and its been processed and its all good, don't know what the trouble is unless you are not on Oanda Europe and that might be the problem but im only speculating.

To be fair, my withdrawal was processed and I see the money in my bank already. I even got an apologetic letter from oanda stating it was because of extremely high volume of requests.

A little android story.

I recently wrote to Oanda asking if they plan to add H4 timeframe at Android trading platform. There is H1 and then Daily, which is a big gap.

The answer is:
There are no immediate plans to add H4 timeframe in the Android trading app. However, we are constantly working on improving our platform to offer an even better trading experience.

Omfg, shall I curse them? Shall I swear? Morons are constantly working but wont do a shit about such a basic thing.

Sry to bother you with this, but I have noone else who could be interested in helping me. So guys, if you are using Oanda, I would appreciate if you wrote Žem with simmilar request, maybe they will do something about it then.

Its really not fun trading with oanda the MARKET MAKER. Shitty oanda brags about leverage 50, real time interest rate, blah blah shit, earn from spread.... but confirmed market maker.

I lose a lot of money, then i try to win it back by trading NFP... oanda practically freeze the platform, lock me out from my account by saying wrong password (my browser saves password) and the can login MT4 trader platform but cant trade (always say trade context busy).

sigh, all of you , better dont trade with oanda. i rather dump my money at lottery or casino than giving it to oanda.

and i am sure when oanda read this, they give a lot of excuse, i am the IT administrator!!!! I dont need to hear some shitty oanda excuse.
