I'm looking to open a UK or European based ECN/Currenex style account for mostly day trading. Large account minimum requirement is not a problem, but I'd like to start trading Minis and work trade size up. I'd like quick and easy OCO entry with stop and multiple take profit levels, and a 'stop to breakeven 'facility would be good.
Current main contenders are:
IB - I've tried TWS and don't like it much, so maybe with Ninja Trader or Multicharts front end? Looks like good spreads, commission, and liquidity, but I don't fully understand their currency conversion system (I'll be trading mostly GBPUSD, probably with a GBP account). UK regulated, segregated accounts.
Dukascopy - highly recommended by account holders I know, haven't tried their platform yet. Spreads and commission OK, especially with larger account size or volume. Run by a bank, segregated accounts I think.
Alpari Direct - seem to be well recommended on forums, they don't post their commissions on the site that I can see (!)
With other possibilities of:
www.lmaxtrader.co.uk (but spreads and commissions are not the lowest).
Any comments on comparison between these brokers?
Thanks, Max
