Anyone else getting a lot of Server Not Responding and the like this week ??

And I tried to do a trade of Gold last night ( not in the 1 hour off ) a few times and kept getting "Market isn't open" despite it requoting and tracking the chart nicely.


FXCM losing the plot ?? And they don't seem to respond to E-mails any more either

FXCM got back to me regards the Gold trade :-

The market was open when you were trying to place your trades. Oftentimes, you will need to refresh the platform by logging out of the platform and logging in again. Another reason that could explain why you received the error is because there was limited gold liquidity at the time of the trade.

Yeah been using it today working fine, the Double click option with it on seems to be working aswell.

I'm going to say I don't like it, it moves my tight SL right into harms way very quickly.

It needs a 50% trail option, ie market moves up 2 pips move up SL 1 pip!!

I found that any fx broker regulated by NFA or any regulations only controls the physical activity of the broker. There is no screening of a brokers trading platform. Hidden code of broker side server can requote the price. And i found many of my customers complients about FXCM is delay execution of orders. They suspect they have dealing disk behind MT4. Delay execution happening at peak time when price bounce from one level to another level quickly. I also found "common error" often found i place new order. In my max delay execution of time is 18 sec. Mostly i lost 5 to 6 pips from the given price. If you ask them about the delay they won't speak about the problem.

May I ask what type of account you have with FXCM? (Micro/Standard/Other)

They tell you plain as day that thier micro accounts are dealing desk. According to them thier regular accounts are not.

Ok-whats your point? Unless you are scalping this shouldnt matter. And-BTW-how would any one really know exactly what their broker is doing? I like this account and am very satisfied.

Withdrawals are quick.

The only thing i warn people who want to use there metratrader solution. If they send you to Boston Technologies stay away.

Recently, I have problems with FXCM as follows:
1. My sell order was 200 pips away from the price shown on dealing desk for XAU/USD, so I think they has requoted a lot on their system.
2. Roll over for 100oz is 54 GBP/1 day.
3. Sometimes they generate spike to take your stop loss order.

Be careful with them, better is stay away from them.

The Pair in which u traded is an Extreme volatile Pair (XAU/USD) so 200 Pips Spike was a normal thing coz not only fxcm but almost every broker shows volatility specially in volatile pairs in the announcements of important news yea this is true their rollover charges are horriable...

Gold (XAU/USD) increased $20 this morning within a 2 hour span. That's 2,000 pips. Setting an order 200 pips away from the current market price during that time could easily have been reached due to the volatility. Here's a chart of the market movement from 9:45am EST to 1:25pm EST today.

I'm showing rollover for XAU/USD on a GBP denominated account being £6.00 per day if trading 100 ounces of gold, but you mentioned you are seeing £54 per day. Are you trading a live GBP denominated account? I would be happy to investigate this for you. You should see -0.06 for RollB in a GBP denominated account.

The order is rejected if it can not match with the price with small amount deviation. Moreover, my for case during 5 minutes I did not see that price apear on the chart and on the chart of other brokers, I watched multiple charts at the same time to check the price before I submit complaint.

What do you mean "GBP denominated account"? I have applied for "normal account" as usual.
If you are an FXCM employee, you can check with your colleague.

If your account is denominated in USD, then the rollover will be denominated in USD. And if your account is denominated in GBP, then the rollover will be displayed in GBP. Since you said 54 GBP/1 day, I took this to mean you were charged 54 GBP. I apologize if I misunderstood this.

You are right the market are volatile during new announcements. However at that time the market is quite stable, not much activity. On the chart of FXCM and other brokers I did not see any such spike at that period. As far as I know if the price has changed too much, the order should be rejected as other brokers do.

I Think its the same as the old platform was of Fxcm Us... coz no NFA new rules applies to fxcm Uk...
