Quoting WTBDislikedI wonder why would anyone with even 1/100th of his capital keep on spending his life trading/working instead of enjoying a well deserved retirement, specially someone of his age. I just can't get it why people extremly wealthy already keep on waking up every morning at 7 am and work their asses off to amount an even larger capital.
Whatever, it's their lives.Ignored

Quoting narafaDislikedI think that's the correct way of living and that's also the correct way to remain wealthy. In this life, even the wealthiest person can get broke and even in debt in a very short time if he/she stops working to keep his/her wealth.
Man, life is about work and not about retirement.
Thanks,

Quoting Pip DaddyDislikedWarren is in it for the long term. He shorted the US dollar strictly because he thinks US's economic structure is in trouble...the trade deficit, the federal deficit, lack of consumer savings, etc. Basically America is in debt and continues to borrow and Mr. Buffett and Co. feels this will hurt the dollar in the long run. Knowing his style, he is adding to his short positions. He's probably giddy that he's able to short at such a good price.Ignored
Quoting VladDislikedNader, most of Earth population hate their jobs. There are very many who would like to get a job they could hate. But they continue to do jobs they hate to be able to make other people do what they don't want to do. They don't have alternative. They can't go to forest and hunt a deer, or fish salmon and live of it. There are just too many people and too few deers. So they have to continue to live in small boxes, breath polluted air and drink poisonous water, and spend 50-100 hours per week between commuting and working, in order to pay taxes/rent and eat plastic food full of hormones and pesticides.
There are lucky guys who love their jobs- scientists, artists, traders , but they are not so many. In my opinion, Warren Buffet is a sick guy. He could live as a cheapass in Omaha with way less money than he has. But , in society where a person with 2 billion dollars is more respectful than a person with 1,5 billions, thats probably normal.Ignored

Quoting JohnFXDislikedAdd to an obvious bad losing trade? I doubt it. That's something amatures do and a no, no, for professional sucessfull traders. I am sure Buffet wishes he never played against the dollar. Will be a very long time if ever, that the eurusd sees 1.30 IMO. Almighty US dollar flexing it's muscles.

Quoting Pip DaddyDislikedA bad losing trade? That depends on two things:
1. Your perspective
2. Your timeframe
It's not a losing trade if you plan on holding for 20 years and when Saudi Arabia and China practically own United States because we owe them 9,999,999,999,999 dollars that we can't repay. On the other hand, I guess the US can simply run a military campaign and conquer countries if we can't pay them back.Ignored
