Fx-newbie, my friend, listen up.

It's nothing personal that I made an admittedly crude and immature attempt at humor. As some can attest on this fine forum, I have a very strange and occasionally funny sense of humor.

There is nothing wrong with asking a question to forum participants. However, one should ask him/herself on how the question is going to be viewed by the other participants before posting. Will it be viewed as a point of the topic that was sorely missed or will it be viewed as a question where one could easily find the answer by completing a simple Google search?

To reiterate, it's been said that I have a strange and arguably sick sense of humor and my post was by no mean a personal attack against you. I was making light of the situation, period.

Oanda routinely does maintenance during the week ends. Try to log in again. If that fails, restart your system before trying to log in again.

Oanda have been slipping my TPs lately, in quiet non news times too, anyone else having these problems?

It is now 7:54 am EST, and my platform has been frozen for the last 10 minutes. Anyone else having this problem?

My platform is also frozen for more than 15 minutes now. I have few live trades in at the moment, lets hope it will come back soon.

No, mate. I'm able to login as normal. Btw, I've been waiting for them to create their own software base trading platform, I'm fed up with their **** java platform and I hate to use third party trading software like mt4 to trade with them due to the differrent of data feed. I just hope and wait...... until...... ?????

Yeah still frozen.

Also closed out a trade that Oanda platform showed in profit by 15 pips earlier, only to have my account deducted money for a loss of 5 pips. Customer service reply; "Sorry, slippage does occur sometimes".

Well,

I can log in, but the charts and prices aren't updating. Not willing to risk putting in an order. The forums at Oanda are full of frustrated traders, so the issue is definitely with the platform and not with our individual connections. Some traders there have open orders that they can't close. Some have pre-set TPs and SLs that aren't being filled.

Probably a good day to stay away for a while...

Problem seems to be solved. At least for me.

Are there other reliable brokers with high availability, tight spreads and a Java or web based client, that only relies on http or https ports?
